unreal how much online they always made fun of nyc mfs but now want to dress like the most flamboyant stereotypical version of us

  • Malafe

It seems like people buy whole uniforms/looks instead of individual pieces that they f*** with and building up their wardrobe gradually

How I’ve moved fashionwise my whole life

bro this just what regular people in nyc been wearing since the 90s these white mfs just new to the party and doing what they do best, trying to act like they putting everyone on. same thing happened with supreme, af1 and jordans tbh

    This kinda goofy tbh lol

Acting like working class white dudes haven’t been wearing Carhartt for decades

what do the skaters in ur city dress like

@op it doesnt seem like any of those 3 styles matches what all the skater dudes near me be wearing (toronto)

baggy af corduroys, baggy af d***ies, old 90s brand hoodies, shaved heads, mullets or shaggy mop hair, baggy crewneck tshirts, vans to work or drive in or any more serious skate shoes to skate in

beanies, trucker hats, backwards caps from whatever local trades shop lmao its like dad fashion but more edgy

but everyone wears puffer vests, cartharts or denim jackets lol cant rly get away from that

supreme was made by and worn by white skaters in the city for so long before hypebeast teenagers of the 2010s got their first box logo hoodie lmao weird lie

  • The same reason why people ask this same question in rap

Social media and we took the 80’s-2000’s for granted

I just opened tiktok for the first time in a long time and i just realized that this new generation of fashion mfs all dress like the same 3 mfs,

its the gorp core mfs with the arcteryx beanies, the samba denim short soccer jersey mfs and the worst of all is the carhart jacket carhart pants mfs that s*** is BURNT bro all of it is the same s*** over and over again like do they view this as the official uniform and if u wear anything else ur not cool? s*** is so wack bro f*** baggy pants too good night

But also the things you’re naming are pretty simple and relatively non expensive aesthetics to pull off

Tiny shirt + big pants and shoe

  • it’s like why everyone on the fashion reddit looks similar prime get into these style rabbit holes and wants share their are too and if they want the most amount of likes they fire really dress one particular way so they like optimize their style in a sense

  • Just get off ig and wear what you want to wear. Then you’ll see most of these trends don’t exist irl unless you live in nyc.

need these Yakub created milks in my harem expeditiously

feel like this is only an issue if you live in like ny or la or if the only “fashion” ppl u see are on social media

i’m in the bay and everyone out here still dresses like it’s 2017 and no one is really following the trends i see on ig like that

maybe not to much on a day to day basis, but if you live in a major city you def see the tiktok types on here and there, esp if you go to concerts, swap meets, house clubs, coffee shops etc. Like the places people who are into fashion frequent lol

I wouldn’t say i live in a “major” city but i live in a fashion toward one, there is variety here but most people here are just referencing outfits they see online.
