But once guys are at a pro level and they're just doing the one sport they're best at and go by that title typically

imo, most people who are classically trained would classify themselves as a "Classically trained vocalist/artist/musician" , hence there is a difference there.

And regardless of training or not, Future has put his 10,000 hrs into his craft and has most definitely gained a solid understanding of sonic structure and melody over time.
