Uncut Gems is amazing but I mean it’s not a surprise it wasn’t nominated lol. The general audience despised it and it wasn’t nearly as successful as the other movies nominated

The real issue with most of these A24 movies are that they are quite polarizing for general audiences

I think the major issues people have had with the movie was the writing and how they used excessive music to cover that up and convey emotion so I saw no way of how that would ever get a nod.

Sound Mixing & Editing I need to see again to take note of but yeah, the best shot it had at the Oscars were in the technical categories
