because it's a substance that increases productivty

and in a society where everyone has to be productive as f***, coffee is the religion

    This

    It makes you work more

Why would corporations be interested in lobbying against people working more

  • Jul 5, 2022

Cause 3-4 times coffee a day aint bad for your health, it's actually pretty beneficial

I don't drink coffee at all tho

Lmao idk if you're serious but in a sense it does help you stay productive, until you try to get off it

But s*** like nicotine helps with anxiety too, again until you get off it

there are also a lot of health benefits to it for whatever reason like decreased risk for a lot of degenerative diseases

If thats the case, why ever try to get off it? Especially for the group of people that dont have sleep issues/anxiety, I’m not really sure why being dependent on it is a bad thing

It's bad if you're so dependent on it that the levels or consumption needed to fulfill that start to have negative effects, which is not the case for everybody but it's the case for a lot of people tho

??? try using coffee as fuel for any engine. it'll break. i don't think this is accurate

  • Jul 5, 2022

I think about this often lol

I don't do well with Caffeine and it's so wild that so many people will slam 3 cups of coffee back by noon, meanwhile if I have one cup my vision gets blurred

Using coffee beans from nature to commidify it and make into a drink in orfwr make yourself more productive might just be the most revealing example of how society injects capitalist ideology into our veins

It's a a Freudomarxist metaphor for capitalist production you would understand if you read this paper from a french psychoanalyst who wanted to remove age of consent laws

Nicotine doesnt help with anxiety unless youre already addicted to it and it takes away the anxieties from withdrawal

Nah it def helps for me

I don't smoke regularly but when i do get the lil nicotine high which calms me down

I remember when i smoked a cig for the first time i was like 16 i was out clubbing mad as shyt and when i smoked i became chill asf crine

But yes smoking overall is bad for you and when you become dependent it raises your anxiety when you're not on it

A lotta people addicted to that shyt

Shyt i am and a bunch of my friends/colleagues too, but for some reason it's not looked at the same way other addictions are

If you get off that shyt you can get pretty bad headaches as withdrawal, be very irritable or just tired all the time and zero productivity. Like if i quit coffee cold turkey rn i would prolly get fired bc i'd be so useless lol

Sure the withdrawals are not as bad as heroin or anything and it doesn't have the harmful physical effects of tar and shyt in cigs but it's lowkey not discussed as a bad thing at all even when it can be pretty f***ed tbh

Also they be putting that stuff in sodas lil kids be drinking

    Shyt is f***ed tbh
