I quit coffee and I'm very unproductive now
It makes me feel like my nervous system is on fire so I rly hate it these days
But it's very clear that without coffee I am a shell of a human
You should try drinking it every 2nd day, then every 3rd...slowly taper off over a month or two.
I know people who had shivers and headaches when they tried to quit
when coffee becomes denormalized and demonized and they ban flavored coffee or whatever remember this thread

As opposed to how its viewed in more modern centuries, coffee often became the subject of debate for some. When the fatwa came into effect in 1532–1533, coffee and its consumption was established as haram.27 This decision most likely came from the idea that like alcohol, coffee had an effect on areas regarding things such as cognition albeit a different and more mild effect altogether. It is possible that this verdict was implemented in an attempt to regulate consumption of other recreational substances such as tobacco and alcohol in the Ottoman and Safavid Empires.28 Drinking coffee in public places was also heavily looked down upon. Not only was public consumption seen as taboo, but many people would often drink out of a communal bowl in a similar fashion to drinking wine.29 This most likely added on to the already existent negative conceptions regarding coffee in that a similar style of consumption once again linked it and compared it to alcohol.

coffee,
don't drink coffee, coffee!
The Turkish drink is not for children,
weakens the nerves, makes you pale and sick.
Don't be a Muslim
who cannot do without him

I think Americans think coffee grows in Seattle
I just like the taste of coffee tbh, I don't think I really get affected by the caffeine too much. There's many days where I don't drink coffee.
What happened once u got there?
they hooked me up to the EKG and s*** read everything was normal, had me stay a couple of hours to see if i felt anything else and turns out i was just having an anxiety attack.. another disorder caffeine can trigger and/or make worst
it was helpful for when I got a new job, now its really bad. If I don't have at least a quad shot espresso or the caffeine equivalent... I'm just super low energy and irritable. I just want to take a few weeks off or something, to reset.
it's normalized bcuz capitalism has made it so that almost all of the working class is p much incapable of getting a good amount of sleep without sacrificing something from their day - so their energy is drained. most human beings r in a sleep deficit.
caffeine has basically no effect on me so i've never drank coffee. i remember as a kid i'd have caffeinated drinks and i never got a burst of energy or felt more awake. even as i've gotten older i've tried a bunch of preworkouts, which are all caffeine based and all that happens is the top of my ears get a little tingly like 10 minutes after drinking it and that's it, i always felt the exact same after drinking it as i did before.
cause they just want you to work. they don't care that it effects you poorly. the only reason other d**** aren't normalized is because they make you unproductive. that's the only difference
Drinking coffee mostly made me feel like I was having heart palpitations while still in the same exhaustive state.
So I quit coffee, I drink some hojicha (low caffeine) or mugicha (no caffeine) now which has been working for me.
Mostly just drink water lately tho tbh.
cos it doesnt have much bad side effects for the most part if you take it in moderation and most people consider it an enjoyable part of their day
