Well in its context in the Bible, your taking a life a chance that God has giving you to live and to repent. Although committing suicide doesn’t guarantee your going to Hell though.

Maybe we did wrong in our past life and are birthed into Hell as punishment to live through a lifelong struggle of misfortune.

Well the thing is you have a choice/free will. If you read the Bible in its context and learn about God and his teachings and the spirits and you still choose not to follow it then that’s the punishment. Your first part is somewhat true. But we’ve came to live through flesh for a second chance. Nobody asked for this correct but this is the suffering we took way back from Adam and Eve. We have a chance to repent and get to learn and meet Jesus if we follow his teachings on Earth. (Not trying to change your view or belief) just trying to give you a understanding of the faith a lil

And if all evil and bad thoughts no longer exist in your mind upon entering heaven, then you aren’t free.
