niggas ITT roasting me as if im wrong, these people are so blinded by modern liberal politics that they cant even admit that there is a very real and demonic issue facing my community

    You are wrong tho.
Black Lives Matter started as a response to the system allowing a white man to get away with killing a black man for no reason . This same exact thing applies when police officers, who are also part of that system kill black people, specifically unarmed black people when they're supposed to be the ones protecting. And a lot of those get off on it, get light sentences or it gets covered up.

Anti-gun violence organizations existed in black communities before black lives matter was a thing. But they don't get the same amount of coverage.

we as American people must put more attention and emphasis to efforts and organizations that will help cub the violence facing our communities

NOTE: i do NOT believe in "black on black crime", i am not placing blame on black people for anything at all. i am simply saying we (being America) need to put more attention on the causes that help curb the violence in Black communities. both democrats and republicans use black pain for their own political gain, we are being manipulated by a two party structure

i think more people would be willing to discuss this with you OP if you specifically mentioned this is hypocrisy from politicians. regular people def care about neighborhood and gang violence, most people advocate wanting to mitigate the conditions which create poverty and violence - i mean, how many times have you heard rappers say things like "we have to stop killing each other"/etc.
the real hypocrisy comes from politicians and others bureaucratic leaders who care about parading issues around for votes or clout rather than they do fixing underlying problems causing anything. when it comes to walking skeletons like Pelosi it's easier to just say "yeah cops bad, now let me kneel with this kente cloth" instead of being like "yeah actually impoverished violence is a multifaceted complex issue, my approach to fixing it will be..." because the latter involves actually doing something which is the antithesis of modern politics

“y’all kill each other, why can’t we kill you?”

Basically this is exactly what they’re saying when they bring up the myth of black on black crime.

Long story short: inner city crime is due to a number of factors some out of the control of black people as a whole. No one is ever killed for just being black. And no one ever is caught and camera and given a get out a jail free card.

You noticed all the riots stopped once the officers were arrested right? All people want is accountability for the police. Black men aren’t killing and walking free.

that’s what i’m saying. i’m well aware there are programs for close proximity violence in the black community but the lack of coverage is exactly my point

OP I understand where you’re coming from but the fabric of America is built ok systematically keeping the African American community down. If you’re born into an environment of poverty, you’re not provided the same educations and extra curricular activities to deter you from falling into rough crowds of similar people to the situation as you, not being provided the mental escape of therapy or guidance to help deter and combat those demons, and literally fighting for a meal to survive, all while seeing people have everything you don’t have, you’ll naturally be angry and misguided. It’s a vicious cycle and I don’t think anyone can truly understand unless they’ve lived through those traumatic lifestyles. It’s a terrible thing OP. I truly believe it will never change. You’re taking centuries of calculated steps to keep a group of people from succeeding.

never did i say police brutality was ok. and never did i dismiss the issues. check my threads and i acknowledged the fact that our communities are being purposely underfunded and segregated to create cycles of inequity. for example, they give a billion dollars to the NYPD every year to patrol communities with economic disparities. that’s SYSTEMICALLY built for our people to fail bruh. maybe i should have worded my stuff better but don’t paint me as right wing, i want to see better for us

i agree with you, man. though i believe this can change. i will never give up on my community because i know we can achieve equity one day. maybe not in our lifetimes but it must happen. we need financial literacy classes. more opportunity being given to us than what is offered currently. this is the only way to end the violence

but the outrage isn't nearly on the level of that for the police killings, as both are important and detrimental

But I feel like republicans use that angle when she like this happens which is wack move

Op is right but Black men growing up poor in America are a product of their environment, where violence and crime is the normal. Yes, the system was built to hold us back but we can’t fight from the outside forever, we have to fight within our own communities. White people cant save us, we have to save ourselves in the long run. Incoming cacs remark in 54321

  • To keep it real gang violence is something that niggas need to start marching for, not saying I’m against police brutality is something that needs to be taken lightly or anything.

I grew up in Baltimore and saw niggas take the lives of other brothers over the simplest s***. that’s something that’s wrong with our community that we need to address and start to fix fr.

Honestly though I think in order to get people to start crossing the line to the right side of history you need to be able to face and answer tough questions like you proposed. Once people start understanding the disadvantages of being an African American and how it goes beyond surface level struggles they’ll be able to see why people are fighting so hard for a change
