Graduation came and went lowkey. All it really did was f*** 50’s reign up
Even tho it’s satire such a KTT-ass post lmaooo
You have to learn about late 90s hip hop leading into early 00s hip hop to understand how he revolutionized rap with each of his first 4 albums leading into a masterpiece of number 5 opening a new decade and finally breaking every boundary in the genre with 6. You can’t name a single artist doing the same or close at the time these albums dropped.
But how? He came out with boring beats except for spaceships
Yes 808s came after tpain
Tpain even said 808s is a remake of his album
But you a Ye stan so you dont know that…
Yeezus was literally the underground sound at the time too
Name me a single tpsin song that sounds like 808s
The only thing similar is the usage of auto tune
808s is way more cudi influence than tpain, but this dumb s*** just shows how y’all bunch of kiddos who don’t know what the f*** you are talking about, not having lived through these eras

Go thru the thread before replying dog
Graduation was the sound of mainstream hip hop for years
I wouldn’t say all that
The general aesthetic and feel of it stuck with acts like Sean and Cool Kids but mainstream hip hop in a vague sense didn’t casually have beats like Good Morning or I Wonder or Everything I Am. Only “synthy” type songs that represents that sound of the late 2000’s is CTMN Stronger Good Life. IMO tho
Original isn’t the word I’d use. He’s good at incorporating other sounds and styles into what he got going on
im op and im going to change the subject of my thread 5 pages in
How am I switching the topic?
Graduation came and went lowkey. All it really did was f*** 50’s reign up
why is this bait so effective
But how? He came out with boring beats except for spaceships
His beatsare actually pretty good. It’s his lyrics that are horrible
But then again he has a lot of people helping him

Sonically you’re not entirely wrong but it definitely rewrote the aesthetic of rap if we look at 05-06 compared to 08-09 which is exactly what “fucking up 50’s reign” was

Cuz it’s lowkey true but it’s lowkey not lmao it’s…50/50

This is all subjective I’d say

But Wayne was literally up next which was street s*** mainly
I never understood that narrative
Yes I could never get through any of his albums.
Aye yeah it’s time to lock this and I’m not even one of them type niggas lmao
If I’m following this right OP made this thread without ever even making it thru a whole Kanye album
lol
But Wayne was literally up next which was street s*** mainly
I never understood that narrative
Whole of Carter 3 is Kanye inspired lmao. Bro went from Carter 2 mob s*** to Lollipop because of Kanye

Nigga what
Let’s be clear though OutKast is in a similar ilk. They just aren’t as easily replicated the way College Dropout and Graduation birthed whole career aesthetics that other important artists could use; on the flip side you could say Kendrick and Kanye himself only could have existed because of Outkast/Tribe type acts
But yeah one would only ask this question if they didn’t see how hip hop was before and after that Graduation to MBDTF run. He was remaking niggas whole careers and aesthetics in his image with each era change
Yeah OutKast 100% opened the door for artists like Kanye and Pharrell to further revolutionize rap. I wish they would have continued dropping albums feeding off the new era to further co-lead the change.

I mean it’s not Wayne OR Ye. They simoultaneously both rewrote this s***. Moreso aesthetically and how you do s***
Wayne has not much to do with acts like Cool Kids or Wale the same way Ye don’t really have much to do with a Young Thug or Kodak
