Ross makes good music too, really want a live instrument album.

Push, I never recognized him as a one trick pony even dating back to the clipse days. New listeners find ways to criticize good lyrics. My friends do this with Push, Jay Z, Griselda and any rapper from that cloth.

They’re all Drake stans too lol, maybe my view is slanted

If all of your songs sound the same, good lyrics become less appealing.

I can name plenty of greats that stuck to a formulaic script, though.

2Pac largely wrote about the trials of being a Black American. Jay Z mostly rapped about making money and hustling his way from rags to riches. Biggie was either a smooth player in his love songs or a gangster/kingpin in a lot of his other songs.

Nas had similar subject matter as Pac but from the perspective of being in the streets and seeing it. Eminem either wrote horrorcore tales or spoke about the trials of his life.

There are very few greats who have a wide range of subject matter so it feels dumb to knock one dude for doing it

Tupac wasnt limited to one topic on black americans. He also rapped about street s***, women, and cali, and the homies.

Hov rapped about selling d****, hustling, women, his mom, his kids, and living a lavish lifestyle. Hov also has a million flows.

Em rapped about horrocore, his daughter, his mom, his dad, his ex wife, detroit, poverty, motivation, politics, and a bunch of other things. He also has a million flows.

Pusha has been trying to recreate Reasonable Doubt for nearly a decade.

Pusha’s songs most of the time seem like the same exact content over a different beat

And when I say content I mean the flow, the subject and the delivery.

Drake stans mentioned... thread about to be derailed.

I don’t get it either, I feel like it’s lazy criticism. People will d***ride dudes like Future but at the same time say Push and DaBaby make the same song over and over. I guess you get a pass if you’re one of those “cool” rappers.

Pusha is amazing but lol he doesnt have a codeine crazy or never forgot or an album like save me so chill

Drake stans have the iq of Hillary supporters.

They can all go to gitmo

  • hot pancakes

It’s because drake stans have nothing else in him

It’s not even just Drake stans. Y’all love to throw claims blaming them cause it’s the easy thing to do rather than have an actual discussion.

  • A mf could be a Drake hater but if he’s dissing someone Drake has been into it with they get the “Drake Stan” title thrown on them. I know it’s the easier option but y’all starting to get mad corny.

Because people have been trying to brand him as one of the greats the second he told on Drake.

Now he’s getting great like criticism and people start to see that he ain’t really there.

its always 'oh but how is it lyrical if they rap about the same thing' and in the same breath talking about 'building the vibe and effectively using repetitiveness in subdued lyricism' when it comes to new school kids lol

Facts. “It’s a new era, none of that matters anymore”

Musics gonna be in a bad space if consumers continue this mindset

cmon, even drake loved pusha t

I know you're a huge drake stan that's why its so hard for you to not hate pusha t

after the whole ye x drake thing I started really disliking drake too, I still love NWTS and IYARTITL

if you try and separate the art from the artist you'll see there's a lot of heart and personality in pusha's music, and that he uses coke metaphors to talk about everything, but he isn't in no way one dimensional

    much love to you fam
