What's disrespectful? It honestly wasn't a top 10 album what do you want them to do? Force it in even if they don't like it
this is what I mean by disrespect

Good album with some great records. Bottom line is it’s really way too long. Should’ve cut it to about 16-20 records. Part 2’s of songs were kinda unnecessary. And people in 2021 don’t have the attention span for an album that long unless you’re a Stan or a music head.
In the time it takes me to listen to this album in full I could watch Lawrence of Arabia..
Great combo might watch Lawrence and listen to Donda

Shoulda made it 10 tracks tbh
Underrated and people will be calling it a classic in a year or two. Like on some "oooh the album clicked for me now!!" type of s***.
Didn’t he piss on a Grammy lol.
It’d be funny if he wins AOTY and does it again.
He lost for like 8 years straight, pissed on one, and then won for JIK just a few months later and never acknowledged it till recently
AOTY the only award that might convince him to show up again but i think they'll still might play him on that but give him his 23rd elsewhere
There were reports Grammys tryna be on his good side again but no way that happens unless they actually give him AOTY.
Clearly it's an impactful album with good records and moments. Are there any political reasons why it's being shunned by top 10 lists and best moments of the year?
Bro we been tryna tell y’all stans that outside Kanye fanbase this album is viewed as mid
I don’t think it is personally btw

not even a stan, but there's a clear bias against not having it in a top 10, let alone picking a non song as the worst song of the year.
It’s not as good as Kanye fans think it is.

That's all he needed with that original cover with the red artwork too.
safe to say his money and power burdens the creative process more than it helps. he can endlessly tweak the record to his hearts content bc it’s kanye. it’’a sadly clear that streaming numbers, audience réception, insecurity, and his own manic depressive ass all played apart in the music we got and how it was presented to us and re-presented through deluxe versions and track list changing
there’s some cool concepts here. at its greatest, the stadium stay recording process wears itself proudly on songs like jail, hurricane, come to life
but at its weakest you can def tell this is another high budget last minute kanye production. not to sound corny but from producer testimonies, the ATL livestream, and knowing kanye, it’s safe to say he’s been producing this record and his last few more like a business than an actual organic creative environment
hence, there’s great MOMENTS on this record, but it never fails to come together to create something meaningful.
i’m sure there’s politics as to why it’s not being praised to high heaven by major media publications. but whatever he knows it or not, i think some media publications would take the risk in praising it, if it actually meant something. but it’s obvious that his manson and dababy guest appearance is solely for the sake of shock, and show’s ye isn’t really interested in making this a serious album about feelings of grief, loss, life after death, etc
and maybe that’s okay, you don’t have to make it deadly serious to portray the nuance of grief. but honestly it feels like he’s not interested in portraying much of anything as much as he’s interested in competing with drake
Shoulda made it 10 tracks tbh
nah after not getting a Kanye album more than 27 min and 11 tracks long for over 5 years i'll gladly take 30 on this
it was for sure bloated but after seeing what he did with the deluxe doesn't seem like concision was ever the intent here.
I've seen it on multiple year end lists and it's received many Grammy noms. The f*** are y'all even talking about "ignoring" man?
Do you mean why it is being ignored among music listeners? It's probably because most people aren't tryna listen to a 2hr long album that is just okay at best when there are many other great releases this year.
no tf he's not lol.
Wanna place a bet? Tyler's album whether you like him or not was the most cohesive project put out this year
