Clearly if she was a better songwriter she’d have bigger songs lmfaoooo
Yeah you’re clueless
It would’ve came out if she didn’t say Kendrick was better than Drake in an interview. She shoulda kept her mouth shut or just lied 🤦🏾♂️
That’s another thing with Tinashe, she doesn’t know how to play the industry game. That’s just not her.
-After 2 On, she could’ve easily had another hit with Mustard. However she didn’t want to be labeled as “Mustards girl”
RCA just didn’t know what to do with her duality of having the looks and talent of a popstar but having the personality of an independent artist.
Her mixtapes are dope, just like her debut album. Her second album sucked. Never got the chance to check out Songs For You and 333

SFY and 333 are even better than her debut, highly recommend you check those out

Hmm I might will. The single from 333, ''Bounce'' didn't really get me excited

Tinashe isn’t really a strong singles artist. Once you hear it within the album flow that’s when it will click. Several people felt the same way you did then it changed once 333 came out.
Her label pushing a sound on her that wasn’t her as well as marketing her s***appeal over the music for the longest. It’s unfortunate because she’s genuinely dope
I know Tinashe heated that Doja Cat on a run
and all the tinashe fanboys too

Nobody hurt you just sound dumb. You wasn’t even criticizing her.

Even when she left the label her s***symbol image didn't change - I think that's what she wanted tbh (I could be wrong though) but it seems to me she wanted to be the next Janet Jackson, known for performing pop/rnb/+ hits who's also a superstar/sex symbol

you the only one that sounds dumb overhere
having an opinion doesnt mean somebodys dumb
just like you liking tinashe doesnt make you dumb by default, but you actually

Because she couldn’t produce a follow up hit to 2 On. That Aquarius record was good but all the attempts at hits fell flat. Pretend was too down tempo for that era, All Hands on Deck was missing that special sauce production wise. Feels Like Vegas would have been the best one to push but even then I don’t see how she stays relevant.

This was an interlude on Mustards album but Tinashe should’ve had this on her album. It would’ve been the perfect follow up to 2 On and it was during the summer time as well. However, Tinashe believed in herself so much as an artist she didn’t want to be labeled as Mustards girl.
She had two chances early in her career, the second single to follow up 2 On like you said and the Drake feature with On A Wave. Artist may get one, maybe two shots to blow up. RCA was the main problem but Tinashe got in her own way at times. From a day 1 fan perspective I respected her even more, but the casual listener may think those were dumb choices and bad for her career.
