Ngl you don't have to agree with tyler's take on this situation but you can't flat out deny it. He's speaking from the spot of someone who was always criticized for his lyrics being lame and nerdy and the mainstream trashing his earlier work because it all sounded childish but he was stern for too long on not changing his subject matter because he was staying true to himself.

Meanwhile you have ian blowing up for rapping bars like "I just pray that I make it to Friday" with no real adversary or threat to his life whatsoever. I personally like ian's music and have no problem with character portrayals in rap and that they don't have to be 100% transparent and authentic with their raps but I still get where the criticism is coming from and I can't invalidate it.

Wedding Cake in my blunt with no bride yet
If I face me another, I'll die here
I'm just prayin' I make it 'til Friday
Either way, I'ma die with my pride

hes talking about being high on weed and the bar before said he would die lol.

you can dislike ian but to purposely misinterpret his lyrics to make him look bad just makes you look bad

i fully feel what hes saying and get his frustration but at what point is it like beating a dead horse. he spoke on it multiple times and now a song on top of it idk like i said it seems like a waste of his time and effort thats just my 2 cents. its for sure valid though 100p
