Cause he b**** made. Him and his fans on some "We're waiting" s*** for Kendrick and that nigga still ain't even officially release his track.

Rick Ross managed to do that s*** with his track within a few days no problem

  • I respect Everest’s POV. I will say I think that’s the issue with this “beef;” what should be a battle of words has now become a test of Drake’s business acumen ergo his pride and ego. Hendrix & Co. have nothing more to do.

  • class wario

What if he drops simultaneously with kendrick in order to overshadow his track on the charts

I honestly think this is it but it’ll be a new version

  • Everest

Because it’ll instantly put him up in an objective, unarguable, data-lead sales race against Like That. He’ll have to go #1 and if he doesn’t, the numbers and sales guy will have lost to a song by the guys he’s beefing with, and to a song that directly calling him out. He has too much to lose.

Easier to just send it to akademiks and letter twitter blue tick rap pages post it because (as shown) everyone will hear it regardless + he is bypassing having to compete on a front other than strictly the bars/disses. Literally no downside. Also helps that that song is undeniably a great response.

  • ChristianDiorDenim

you missed the point. It's the specific Biggie song sampled and how his mother (Big's) views other rappers sampling it on their own beef records.

this is not to mention any approval he'd need from Puff's side, who caught a stray in the OG version. Not sure if that's a factor, but would be another blocker if it is

you right that's why people think he removed the diddy line

once again you and everybody else has heard the song. stop coming up cope

  • He didn't want it to lose in going number 1, which would look off perception wise

  • Power move. They need this beef and he isn't even monetizing it.

Only niggas born in the 2000s is crying about a diss record not being on streaming lmao

But I don’t wanna hear no Kendrick fans talk about sales, cause if that s*** dropped and went number one it’d be the same b**** ass stans in this thread right now inhaling hella copium talkin bout some

“Y’all drake stans only care about billboard” 🤣

S*** didn’t drop because of samples and because it didn’t need to. Simple. Kendrick heard it so he needs to respond.

Caption i think is a good bet why

Though i think if drake has a second response, that will be on streaming
