im confused... did you watch the video? The answer to the question was basically god is the master so we shouldn't question anything he does because he is meant to be perfect.

Is God not perfect? He is above all creation, above time, above actual words and their meanings... what can you name or find that reaches a more supreme/perfect state?

This video will only make sense for people who were raised as muslims tbh

You not gonna convince anybody of god being merciful by saying he's merciful bc he told us hell exists lol

I get that point, but i do want to explain it from a muslim perspective so that people who are genuinely curious have another frame of reference than just the atheist starting point.

yes and you are banished to hell after a short human life for eternity. Pretty silly if you ask me and doesn't sound like a very understanding or merciful god. You give us a short ass human lifetime to get our s*** together and send us to hell. Jeffery dahmer went to heaven because he became a born again Christian in jail. This is an omniscient god which created this world and he knows past and present yet continues to play theater with his creations. We look at the guys in westworld as villians even though they do just as god does. If this god is real, he is a creature that simply thrives on chaos and enjoyment. Toys with human lives because it is bored and things wouldn't be fund if he just destroyed the devil. Things wouldn't be fun if he just target the pharoah rather then terrorize the innocent people. Things wouldn't be fun if he just cast satan out when he made a wager over his trusted devout follower, job. This god is not omnibenevolent or all good as he claims. We're dealing with an entity that thrives on fear and enjoys theatrics of human suffering rather then getting to the point. He wishes to see his creations burn for eternity for a short lifetime even though he is forgiving and all good

There are about 22,075,000 seconds in the average lifespan. It takes 1 second to have a change of heart and repent. Life is short but we’re given SO much time to repent and if you don’t, then it’s really on you.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. You don’t seem interested in opening your heart to his word and without biblical understanding, you’ll always think that God is malevolent and chaotic.

btw believing in God cus Hell exists is a very weak testimony of faith and i don't want anyone to think that is the main reason to believe in God.

    I agree

But he kinda did imply that it should play a role in this video tho tbh when he said you should protect yourself from hell

Well the video replies to a question about suffering. So Hell is a logical topic to be brought up in connection to the question.

In the grander scheme of things though, suffering is not the main reason for humans to praise God. It might motivate you to start believing in God, when you've suffered through a lot of tragedies. But ultimately when you've embraced faith, you learn to love God in a myriad of (personal) ways.

Basically you have to live like you are striving to create Heaven on earth by meeting every evil with good.

Fighting every negative, with a positive. Helping the poor and needy with whatever you deem possible. Praising God who made Heaven and your life even a reality and thanking God for every blessing you are rewarded with as you continue to breathe. You prove your sincerity under these testing circumstances and that way, earn your stripes for an actual blissful life.

but god is not omnibenevolent or all good like he claims. This is a god that lives off fear. he gives the illusion of free will to serve him but there is no choice. god basically says" worship me or burn in hell for eternity" This is something a tyrant or dictator would say

God doesn't say that, ever. God creates Hell for an entirely different reason than the one you are making up in your head.

God created Hell and Heaven with a purpose. Not because he needs to do it to prove a point, not to get humans to worship him, not to draw sympathy because he doesn't need any. God doesn't need our praise, anything good or bad that befalls us is merely to our own advantage/detriment, not God. Even the suffering you view as bad has a benefit for you, if you can change your perspective.

God is all-knowing, almighty and the Most High. He doesn't need your or my praise for this to be a fact. We can only choose to acknowledge these facts or ignore them and suffer a punishment for denying the truth.

If you praise God out of fear of Hell, then you barely scratched the essence of who God is and why we exist. If you praise God because he is "omnibenevolent" then you are basically saying that you are in a position to judge God's actions and thus more wise or superior in position to Him, thus disbelieving in your inferior nature.

The truth is that God is real and superior in every way to what your mind can imagine.
True believers in God trust that even atheists/disbelievers will become believers at their reckoning after death, but then it will be too late.

so you say god made heaven and hell for a different reason but didnt give that reason... What reason is there to damn someone for eternity based on a short human lifespan just cause they didnt worship you. But jeffery dahmer who turned to god is in heaven. I'm good

Nobody knows truly what God's reasons are. Also we don't know who will be in God's good grace on the Day of Reckoning. The first road to understanding God is to acknowledge that He is truly without an equal. And He doesn't need any food nor any supplication or praise to exist. That is the essence of God. God is not like anything we can think of, so why would we even dare to understand every reason He has for doing or creating something? We can only approach His unknown reasoning with a humble learning attitude but never with an arrogant certainty of thinking we could be His equal in intelligence.

God says in the Quran that would the Pharaoh of the time of Moses, (who killed all the firstborns of the Israelites and did horrible horrible things to his subjects), would he ask for forgiveness sincerely and repent, then God would immediately forgive him his sea of sins. This story explains to believers that it is never too late to turn your life around from whatever dark spot / sinful place you think you come from. Not even the worst human imaginable is forsaken from God's mercy and forgiveness. He wants us to turn to him, for our own prosperity and good. For our own success and happiness. This life is a test of our willingness to accept Him as our Lord and Master and to do what goes against our sometimes sinful nature. And He even wants to forgive us when we give into that sinful nature, if we are sincere in our repentance and in our acknowledgement of Him. In the Quran we learn that He is the Most Forgiving and oft-forgiving. And no creature can ever match His merciful state or reach His wisdom.

I see so its just blind devotion even though there are many signs that things arent as they seem. You tell me there's a different reason hell and heaven exist but you can't tell me. The "god works in mysterious ways" cop out is common. You don't even know the being you've devouted your life too in worship. If you're happy though. all power too you
