I still listen to albums, this year wack tho but there are a lot of albums to check out in general
Kendrick’s 4th album soon
every album is coming soon technically so yes
King Disease
Alfredo
After Hours
Circles
Savage Mode 2
Eternal Atake
A Written Testimony
The GOAT
this are all good, coherent albums that dropped this year OP, what are you talking about
Savage Mode 2 is an album in every sense of the word. I ain’t even a 21 fan like that but that’s a great body of work.
The Price of Tea in China, Alfredo and Pray For Paris all came out this year alone
This too. Expand your musical pallet
I genuinely think that rap music becomes better with every year
but none of the newer artist can make a great project anymore
I can't even expect those from the OG's of 2010's
do you think albums will ever make a comeback?
or we are destined to live in a world where a good album is just a compilation of recent semi-finished demo songs?
nowadays I can absolutely love about 10 songs of the album and still say that album was mid
Hopefully
album experience in hiphop peaked in 2015
Most artists make trap now, and it's pretty hard to make a good trap album. It gets so repetitive and boring.

Most of these dont have the magic of ALLA, nwts, gkmc
There should just be a "when will the ALBUM experience return?/ when is the next time a full ALBUM is gonna make a moment?/ so niggas really not listening to albums like that?" megathread cuz yall ask this question every other week
Most of these dont have the magic of ALLA, nwts, gkmc
I agree with you, but these are definetly good and coherent albums. Also those albums you listed are classics, how many of those did we get the last decad? if we haven't received any classics the past 2 years is because very few of the best artists dropped projects.
