We would talk everyday about things going on in our lives, our friends, and things we enjoyed. i posted a picture of this girl I was talking to who I would talk to every night, just to show her off. We all would do this.
She was my everything. My closest friend and confidant. The only issue was, she was 17 and I was 22 and despite our feelings for each other I knew it'd be better to wait until she was 18 so everything was kosher.
Knowing that she was 17, and knowing that I liked her, one of the people in the group added her on Instagram and paid her to sext him. He was 25. He didn't just add her on Instagram either, he stalked her on 6 different social medias to contact her because her Instagram was Request Only.
It was this weird Sub/Dom relationship where he would pay her to Dom him and call him the N word and a Black slave and all this other weird crap.
Here's the thing...I know she did it just to tell me about it. Just to see what I would do and how I respond, so I decided to beat her at her game. I laughed about it and didn't get mad at either one of them.
A while later I made a joke about the situation in the chat and he left for 3 months because it hurt his feelings to have someone make a joke about him adding a girl he knew someone else liked, who was a minor, who he was paying to Dom him and call him the N word. Like someone f***ed him over.
The people in the chat started bullying me over it and when it was clear he wasn't coming back, they started a rumor that I had hit on some kids at Six Flags who had approached me when I had went there with another member who I ignored and walked away from because they were 12.
They didn't just spread the rumor there, they found all the Discords I was in with mutual friends and started spreading that filth to protect their pedophile friend. Someone I forgave when I could have called the police.I accepted that it was over, left the chat, then left them alone. But they weren't done with me.
One of the members joined another Discord I was in and kept bringing up the 12 year olds hitting on me everytime he could. Making it seem intentional even when I had screenshots of them admitting I ignored them. He kept doing this for months, and his friend who added the girl he knew I liked kept trying to contact her for more sexting because he didn't know we still talked. She showed me and when I exposed him from it in another group I found out we shared, he got a friend of his who's a diagnosed sociopath to get me banned.
They had found a picture of me on social media and made it their discord logo and someone showed me so I found a picture of the pedo dude and posted it in the group with his friend harassing me and the guy got one of his friends to report my account for "doxxing". This was on purpose to get me kicked out of a group where I had close friends just because it was funny for him.
All this started because I forgave that man for doing something so gross. He sent me an "apology" but I know it's just because I stopped being nice about the situation and telling people who are mutual friends what happened.
Will I ever be able to trust and move on? Friendship has been hard since this has happened and it was a year ago.
Fam you too old for this s***, just find like 2-3 real friends and stick with them

Tbh you're a full grown adult. I would get rid of anyone who's younger than 21. It just seems weird to me.

I grew up in late 00/early 10 internet so a lot of my friends were 20-25 and I was 14. My best friend when I was 12 was 20 and he wasn't a groomer or a creep.
It kind of skewed my concept with this but I understand and kind of agree.
