    Bro, there's been a few...

    Murda had his run...

    TayKeith had his run...

    Jetson had his run...

    Turbo had his run..

    Wheezy had his run..

After their runs end, they all managed to still be consistent and put out great songs here and there, even tho the initial hype died down

The thing is now the runs are shorter because their's more producers, not like when Mustard ran s*** for almost 3 years

Nah nothing as big as the 2000's era where the producers were heavily known across genres and producing mega-hits for just about anyone. I don't think yall appreciate how involved that generation and older peers were in the music.

They weren't even just making beats their presence was in songs, they were guiding the recording process and they were in the videos. It wasn't that they just made and sent the beats. The same producers working with the Jay Z's and Snoop Doggs were out with Janet Jackson, JT and Britney Spears......

A lotta these examples are just beatmakers and some even great ones..but they're not super

Supe om dying in general so I dont see how super producers would be the thing to return if the artists arent even that big. Yall just naming dudes with decent runs in one genre

Tyler could be since everyone knows him.

Just realized I left that line in there i wasnt arguing him for it exactly lol.

But if he wanted to ship out beats he has enough pull to contact top artists to work with and maybe get things poppin. But yeah for himself he doesnt have many "hits" no..... but we've never seen him actually work intentionally for other too much which could be a factor

he is blackballed from the pop industry because of his edgy behaviour from 2010-2016 plus the artists clearly dont like what he is offering. only artist interested are b and c-tier singers like Snoh and Kali and thats okay for tyler, they make good music together. tyler doesnt make mainstream music.

all great, but these arent Super Producers like Timbo, Pharrell, Kanye, Swizz Beatz, Scott Storch, Dr Dre, P Diddy and Max Martin

OZ already fell off in his short run. I always love seeing him on credits but Listening to his old beats like backyard freestyle & comparing it to Greece and life is good i know those simple simple simple, 808/clap/hat/sample beats are the wave and I love a lot of them but they’re not as cool as what he came in on. Wondagurl lost her hard crunchy sound too recently

OZ isn’t like too bad now he’s got a few beats i like now but he’s just a producer on a hot run with a drake co-sign. he isn’t exactly a superproducer like pharrell u don’t see every nigga in the world clamouring for new OZ beats like they used to with P or some s***

  • Jul 8, 2021

he’s a genuine one got tracks on after hours that my dear melancholy ep and the fact that he produced on melodrama too

  • quadra

Nobody clamoring for a Pi'erre beat

I fw him but I agree. In general we’re not gonna get a super producer until it’s someone that doesn’t make trap beats and can work with multiple different artists. Tyler can honestly be that if labels will allow his beats to be used for artists

    on me

only thing that separates these niggas is the tags

  • Jul 8, 2021

You had producers in that era taking up time to announce themselves and s*** man. Their image would be the first thing presented in a lot of the videos cus they were that much the s***. Mfs like Kanye didn't even need to be there but he was supporting and added more attention

  • Jul 8, 2021

real ones should fiend for a blackwinterwells beat, at least she’s a super producer in the hyperpop scene

    I agree sorta but explain

The ability to copy and paste everything, as well as digitized plugins - all detrimental to a producer’s uniqueness

The reason why beats were much more diverse then is because there’s a finite amount of hardware, therefore no two producers have all the same synths, drum machine, vinyl collection, etc

Even the physicality of it all made producers even more unique - I remember when timbaland said the ideas for unorthodox sounds in his beats came from him accidentally hitting s*** on the keyboard. Also, having all the knobs and s*** to tweak right in front of u naturally gives way to experimentation

We have access to all the same drums sounds and softwares as our producer idols. And with how much the industry values what’s “safe” and profitable, you have generations growing up making beats like the people that are already on - just encouraging less diversity. There’s no superproducer without a noticeably distinct sound

The super producers were the only ones who had the best of the best hardware. Now that the hardware has become software everyone has it
