His rap hits before those 2 albums consisted of: Headlines, I'm On One, Forever, HYFR, Over, She Will, The Motto, and some more. Even if you didnt like his music, you didnt change the radio when song like Headlines came on.
He just wasn't respected by a large portion of Hip Hop fans until IYRTITL and the Meek beef, which is a big difference.
