I think this would be a mistake. Reeves has a strong grip over the IP now with his sequels, spin off shows and producing other stuff like the new Dini show that Ed Brubaker is writing. Idk why Gunn would need to duplicate the character when its covered. Fans were already kinda confused and uninterested when Hamada suggested doing this in the past with old DCEU

Pattinsons Batman isn't one who would be in a Justice League or event movie if that is their eventual goal. Same way Man of Steel Superman s*** and even BVS Batman didn't fit for a Justice League. That is part of why the Martha line got clowned too. It was rushing to go from enemies to friends too fast and defeated the point of the entire universe because they were in a rush to a laptop power point.

Let Pattinsons Batman be that Batman. Have a Batman that makes sense for DCU. Does the DCU Batman need solos is the better question. My argument is no. We have seen Batman story especially by that time when Reeves universe has advanced done well so many times from Begins, Dark Knight, Pattinsons trilogy, tv shows. Is it the same universe? No. But would it be fair to say a general audience wouldn't need Batman solos and if they saw him in a Justice League or visit Superman they could grasp his character enough to be invested?

I think (we will figure out in next 2 weeks) Gunn will not do the same exact format of "aight we all need solos then event movie then we all need sequels then another event movie" and trust the audience enough to tell stories where the characters don't always have to walk you through why they are a hero

I don't know I just think at this point what do you need to tell about Batman in between event movies. I feel like solos would be a lot . That would be a lot of solos and kind of over saturating the character when we get him. At least focus on seeing Superman cause we have seen him least in character for a while

Why can't we have a Superman trilogy first? Or GL films? Or a series of literally any character/group that didn't just get a film in the past decade?
