Gay men (more prone to be switches) have more s***and sodomy than the average heterosexual relationship (think of your average sexual deviant who's on grindr, extremely sexually active, right?), so they're more prone to this disease as a result, similar to AIDS.

But anyone can get it through skin contact.

    skin contact some gay s***

never was. especially now that the new variant is more contagious and can be spread through "close quarters".

This is known though. That’s been there since 2022/2023, that was the same variant as well (Claude II).

it reappeared in the wastewater, im aware that their was a previous outbreak. some poor fool is probably walking around the bay area with mpox and doesn't know it. the current outbreak in the DRC isn't limited to only the newer more deadly variant, both clades were detected.

Was it Claude II? Thought it was primarily Claude I and the newer variant of that, Claude Ib?

all 3 have been detected. but that was to be expected, clade II never really went away and new cases periodically showed up between the two outbreaks in Africa even after the initial outbreak subsided. for the record the clade II variant is the one that was primarily spread through sexual contact and only accounts for like 5% of new cases.
