Eminem got his whole edgy humor and punchline style from Redman bro, that whole being crazy, doing d****, not giving a f***, whippin ppl especially women, saying random outrageous/offensive s*** and so on. That wasn't his real personality that he just happened to put on display.

It's obvious. More obvious than your criticisms of Eminem which you cant defend. You literally went from "He's a redman copycat" to "Oh well this song isnt that great to me so it's generic meh poverty". The funny thing is for someone who tries to be as informed as you do try to be (which isnt a bad thing at all), you tried to criticize a song about coming from the bottom as if one of the pillars of rap isn't about coming from the bottom. Just say you dont like Eminem and you think he's overrated and move on.

young artists wearing their influence on their sleaves is nothing new (with a lot of it being wayyyy more blatant than Em's case)

Eminem isn't a genius/groundbreaking artist Idc.. sure he was good at putting words together but he also still had a tendency to just throw a bunch of words from the dictionary together even in his "prime". His animated delivery made me overlook this for a looong time:

wdym everyone knows when an Em song is playing, that's forever his sound. It's just as iconic as a DMX or Busta. He just happend to try different things artistically _(for better or worse) are you saying an artist has to do the same type of content for it to not be considered rip off? Your argument at end of the day is that you dont like his music and persona and thats cool
