I think that if someone is in drag at a gay club or even some type of parade or whatever do your thing. but if you’re going into family establishments/restaurants to try and come into contact with children/families to bait certain reactions then yeah
Not familiar with the readings and whatnot you’re referring to
And as for the readings, I guess in SF they started these drag queen book readings for kids. It was supposed to promote representation and normalize differences since some parents teach their kids to believe that LGBTQ+ folk are weird and creepy (I know mine did)
I don’t remember people caring a whole lot when it was just SF, but the idea spread a little more across the US and people started freaking out about it
I get why other parents might wanna do it but personally no i would not. Because no matter how much you try and shield kids from anything there's always a chance they'll stumble on it in some way

It’s giving “Why do black people have to be so loud and dress like that?”
This question so hilarious to me cuz how often do you see Drag Queens irl just doing s***.
The way folks talking you’d think you’d run into them like a random Pokémon encounter

prbly not considering the proximity of them encountering that anyways would be hella low & they likely wouldn't even think abt it @ all tbh
I'd let them watch Mrs. Doubtfire, the first Ace Ventura, Juwanna Mann, and White Chicks when they're PG-13 aged, if that counts

Lmaoo oh brother
Why would I shield them from something that’s existed in entertainment for centuries?
Should I warn them about acapella and interpretative dance too?
