I think this has to do with the s***ty optimization and cutbacks for old gen crossover
Once they finally drop the dinosaur consoles we’ll be good
That alone wouldn’t stop me from buying, no. Bloodborne is still one of my favorite games of all time, after all. It’s quite jarring to switch to after 60 FPS, but you get used to it.
Performance/quality option should be an absolutely essential feature for consoles in 2022, however. The only reason not to have it is cause they know damn well everyone is going to play in performance mode and all that time spent on polishing graphics will be ‘wasted’.
Next gen honestly has spoiled me. I’ve gone back to several old games that run at 30FPS and I genuinely wonder how the f*** I was able to get through them. They just feel HORRIBLE to play now.
the gaming community caring more about 4k and 60fps over actually fun gameplay is sad
in the case of gotham knights it was already getting panned for the gameplay since the first trailer

That’s part of what I’m saying . Who cares about the frame rate if gameplay not there either way

This doesn’t have that. Graphics are mid as well. Good performance was the only thing left going for it

I know thats why I feel using these two games as examples is odd. I don't really even feel like we are in the next gen fully yet if they keep making cross platform game even with first party developers. Like next Fall when developers stop relying on remakes and remasters will feel more next gen to me. But its just backlog season still quite a bit
When you specifically say Next gen then now. Cause „next gen“ is interchangeable with 3rd person action game with rpg elements or first person story shooter both with an open world
But I would never not play a game just cause its 30fps however its a genre thing
If I really like the game I probably would.
Although it would be annoying when you switch from a 60fps game to the 30fps

These are the only examples we really have lol, but it could set a precedent moving forward

This generation so delayed due to Covid and milking remakes and remasters so I am not worried yet at least
if we're specifally talking next gen than i'd say i'd rather not play in 30fps anymore.
i can deal with 30fps but after having my pc for the last fews months has been a great gaming experience.
these games with all these bells and whistles that only allow them to be 30fps on these next gen consoles because of their "high visuals" lose all that as soon as you actually move the camera.
motion clarity is just as important.
I've been playing Read Dead 2 at like 100fps and it's probably the most beautiful game I've ever played and I already thought that playing it at 30fps on PS4.
Things are just so blurry when you move at 30fps after you get used to at least 60fps.
wait new Plague Tale is locked 30??? yeah idk about that one chief
its got good reviews for narrative so if I played the first one I wouldn't care. Also its on game pass

yeah that’s the thing, i never played the first one so i’ve got nothing compelling me to play this new one
