You literally explained in OP why it’s a classic. The statement you made before that is just your personal opinion of how good the album is.
Major rap star collab between two guys who already had classic songs together, spurred multiple classic songs and moments on the albums, the legendary producer collaborations, Otis video classic, tour classic, major moment in hip hop history
It’s a classic.
From what I can remember from the release that they announced it a few weeks before the release. I know it wasn’t a surprise drop out of thin air.
The lead single came out in January that year and the album dropped in August. They literally had pre orders a month before the release
Iol I don’t think Crue Summer is trash, just not classic.
A middle can exist
Bro wtt has murder to excellence and gotta have it. Those is like peak hiphop songs! Jay and and ye going back and forth over the best production
Murder to Excellence might be the greatest song of all time
Aaron Rodgers avi too man knows how to recognize greatness
Never understood why people pretend it is. Sht aint even have that much support when it dropped. Outside a few dope records, sht was very mediocre. Sht dont even got replay value. Nobody talks about it irl
sorry your other middle school friends aren't talking about WTT
The tour is also the greatest tour/concert experience I've ever been too what a time that was. Ye's victory lap after dropping the greatest rap album ever
Undeniable classic.

Murder to Excellence is a 10/10 track, WTT has a some other tracks on it that are great. But it has a few tracks that are a bit overrated. Which imo makes is a good album not a classic.
Imagine going to WTT tour and seeing Kanye and Jay preform Ni**as in Paris 12 times in a row

I fainted after the 6th.
6x platinum song.

Again, like a said in op, this deals with the moment of this album.
Idk if its a classic or not but I love the album. No tracks I really skip on it. It’s the best Kanye collab album as well :word:
y'all acting like this album didn't have mfs wearing Givenchy and leather pants for at least three years afterwards..

Imo plenty of other classic hiphop albums have skippable tracks so it still holds up as a classic to me

An album doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Classic albums are classic because of their momentous after-effects.
