Yeah because YB better
YB a much better vocalist and rapper but Tyler has better production
Like if you are tired of the production in general, that is fine. That's different than saying "I am tired of the production because it's all trap music".
Crazy it’s because it’s y’all are racist and hate what black people listen to not tbe beats
Metal classical country jazz folk ect all have thousands of variations of the same song with same instrumentation
y'all being serious?
lmaoo or niggas just grew up on 00's hip hop where everything didnt sound the same
So because he likes him better on a beat that's not generic trap music that uses the same drum patterns on every song, that makes him racist? Even though the beat he likes better is also produced by a black man? Some of the people on this forum man
i swear this site reaches so hard to be pc now lol

i mean the late 2000s literally had snap music lol.
really good song that im hearing first time, but why i never knew he had this type of song, cause he release 5 albums each year that sound the same.
I’m not even a YB fan and even I know how he coming. Y’all just the type of “rap” fans that listen to a couple songs and think you got an artist figured out. Won’t even peep their albums to get a better feeling for them or anything.
literally 95% of threads that complain about new rappers mostly complain about them rapping over "trap" production.
Like it would be one thing if it was like....criticizing the type of trap beats because there's better ones that niggas could rap over (cause there are), but yall be relentlessly dissing the entire style itself.
i see more boom bap beat hate on this site and in real life than i do trap beats.
Most of the people who make those comments can't distinguish between drums on a song or a real trap beat man. The only reason he gets this flack is because he's from the south. People don't criticize detroit or cali and they use heavy drums now as well
because Cali and Detroit have put their own spin on it
It's still structurally beats from decades ago with upgraded sound selection

nah this sxn has 100% turned into boomer territory.
Of course real life like trap beats. real life people actually go out lol.
"trap rapper"
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODCEVz94zFwOne of his best
because Cali and Detroit have put their own spin on it

detroit type beats all literally have the same structure you reachin

What’s a real trap beat consist of besides drums in your opinion? You talking like drumma boi and lex Luger? Feel like you’re splitting hairs, the drums are the defining aspect and then there might be flutes or guitars or synths depending on the era or trend. It’s about tempo too, usually Cali is more traditional hip hop tempo so it doesn’t sound like trap
Crazy it’s because it’s y’all are racist and hate what black people listen to not tbe beats
Metal classical country jazz folk ect all have thousands of variations of the same song with same instrumentation
What the f*** are you even talking about
I can listen to s*** prod by Southside or Zaytoven ALL THE F***ING DAY MONTH YEAR CENTURY and those make prime trap beats using the same instrumentation too
But their trap beats go f***ing hard and these bland ass beats people are talking about don't go hard
the bay area used to get killed for having the "dj mustard" sound in the early 10s like c'mon we really doin this bruh bruh?
detroit type beats all literally have the same structure you reachin
He's saying its different from trap lol
i mean the late 2000s literally had snap music lol.
it was surrounded by other sounds and the snap wave lasted for maybe 2.5-3 years. post Lex beats have been around for 10+ years and the current "sound" has been around since 16-17
the bay area used to get killed for having the "dj mustard" sound in the early 10s like c'mon we really doin this bruh bruh?
Dj mustatd stole the bayarea sound and he LA dont get me started
Thats why he got ran'd up on in the bay, he not the same

Yea that and snap music mostly stayed regional and were short lived tho and didn’t take over everywhere for such a long period of time like the current style has. We’ve been in this era of production since like 2016?
detroit type beats all literally have the same structure you reachin
structurally it's traditional bay/detroit beats tempo and arrangement wise
its different from a typical trap beat
because Cali and Detroit have put their own spin on it
It's still structurally beats from decades ago with upgraded sound selection
Bruh, youngboy literally does the same thing. His sound is an extension of early BR and NO music. The sonics, the bounce, and his energy is all Louisiana. It's not ATL lmao. If he said gunna or lil baby, I wouldn't comment on it being trap but these arguments get lazy and redundant when people don't want to think critically man.
These records dont sound like ATL at all

i have only listened to 1 yb album and wasn't big fan. i checked few songs on next one and realized it's almost the same. im not saying i thought he was trash, i just got bored listening to this sound by him. thats why i made this thread
