A damn shame. Xbox really out here looking dry af and directionless
Management has been cancerous. If Phil Spencer has an ounce of shame he'd hand in his resignment letter now.
Tango delivered one of the most refreshing and best received games in Xbox's catalogue in a long long time, and that's not enough. This industry is finished.
i feel bad cause they sell y’all so much optimism every time when s*** like this is already in the back of their minds as reality
Acquiring major publishers when you wanna funnel it all to game pass when it’s already flatlined in subscriptions, aren’t engaged in the games longer than a month, more players moving to PC, and barely seeing full priced games being bought in the first place
holy consolidation
jeez man what are they doing
this isnt news bro
Phil was literally promoted to Microsoft Gaming president and when Bethesda and Activision were bought and not merged with Xbox it was obvious that Microsoft Gaming was the new thing
Xbox is a console device
Microsoft Gaming would be on phones, it would replace the Xbox App on PC and Microsoft Game Pass on console, computer and mobile would be their same approach but with a name that makes more sense
Insane how much they pushed Hellblade 2 YEARS out from its release only for them to be almost completely silent the month of its release.

no we not doing that
for a non-physical game release and day one Game Pass drop i dont expect much but Hellblade 2 advertising is everywhere lol it just recently started and i hope Monday it gets heavier
90-day marketing campaigns dont work anymore tbh, one might think they do but then realize the product sells itself anyways so why does a company need to waste more on marketing? i work in marketing btw
Hellblade 2 was never made to make a bunch of money and yes allowing Ninja Theory all this time is a risk that Microsoft took and the studio is probably next on the chopping block but without MS i think NJ wouldnt have survived through Covid and MS allowed them to make the peak of their work before most likely closing

That game was going to bomb no matter what Xbox or Microsoft did
how have they not put a single cod on gamepass?? hello like even just blops 3 to run some zombies
if they don't do at least a part drop next month i'll question if they are coming at all
Call of Duty and every other first party
DAY ONE
GAME PASS
think about how many ppl will buy a console or sub to Game Pass just for the next few CoD games lmao it'll be crazy
and CoD will sell on Switch 2
and CoD will sell on PS5s
and CoD will still sell on PC and Xbox believe it or not

still taking them at their word?
all first party games
day one Game Pass
that's the reason i care for Xbox atm
Would be stupid to put the new COD on game pass
I would have like a multi year wait for each new title to hit game pass

the subscriptions would shoot through the roof
the subscriptions would shoot through the roof
I see that aspect but COD makes stupid money. $70 per copy or a price hiked GP ? Idk
I think having whatever new one comes out with a delayed drop on GP is the best way to squeeze out money on hardcore fans while keeping the entire franchise on GP a good incentive to get GP

i will say i would rather that too though i dont want a price hike on GP like the price for ultimate now is pretty good but if they add cod and make it like $25 idk about that
