Wdym by no actual songs? Lol
Plenty of standard form songs on HUT as well as some unconventional formed songs
Mfs just skim s*** I swear, bro said he’s tired of cinematic experiences lmao how often do we get albums even like that
You seriously think $ome $exy $ongs 4 U is better than Hurry Up Tomorrow? That’s not just a bad take—it’s an intellectual failure. Your taste in music is so offensively shallow it should come with a parental advisory label. The fact that you can listen to whatever half-hearted, algorithm-optimized, recycled melodies Drake half-mumbled into existence and think, yeah, this is better than The Weeknd’s cinematic, soul-crushing, genre-bending masterpiece makes me question everything about you.
Are you allergic to artistry? Does the idea of a cohesive, emotionally resonant album offend you? Hurry Up Tomorrow was a journey—an odyssey through heartbreak, excess, and self-destruction wrapped in flawless production. Meanwhile, Drake’s latest attempt at “music” sounds like he recorded it on his phone between mediocre Instagram captions.
The fact that you even made this comparison tells me you probably think microwaved gas station sushi is better than a five-course meal. You probably read the first page of a book and consider yourself an intellectual. You’re the type of person who claps when the plane lands. I’m not even mad at you—I’m just disappointed that you exist in a world where you can stream music freely and still choose to be this wrong.
Do better.
Let me know if you need it even more scathing—I can turn up the heat.
They both go through one ear and out the other I’m sorry. I’m tired of these long ass albums with barely any actual songs on it and I don’t give a f*** about your “cinematic experience” or lifestyle playlist. Then there’s the nerve to have the whole thing all over the place stylistically. Give me a f***ing album
Enough of the empty ambient sound design, you niggas are not Brian Eno or Trent Reznor or Atticus Ross cut it out. Drab ass “r&b” that’s really a fisher price level take on ambient music with the most lifeless melody you’ve heard in your life edit: and the most sleepy trap drums you could imagine. S*** is boring and a chore to get through if you aren’t already a stan
No hate this s*** is just tired
(pizza) HUT is too long for sure.

I felt the same way tbh ,there's not really many highly replayable songs on there which is odd for The Weeknd

It's an album album
which many people don't like these days. nothing really sticks out like it does on his past projects. people want music thats more like fast food. HUT is not that

The fact that so many people think this way is why the majority of mainstream s*** absolutely f***ing sucks nowadays
The album is full of stick out tracks
I'll finally listen to the weeknd today
NGL, fake Thriller started off rough but it's a groove

Damn, from fake Thriller into Afrobeat Dirty Diana
I thought first half of HUT was great, kind of fell off in the second half on my first couple listens but I've gotta revisit at some point. Problem for me is that Weeknd's voice diminish his songs' replay value, like I listen to one Weeknd song and then I'm good, don't really want to hear 60 minutes of his voice, it just sounds repetitive and whiny after a while
$$$ a classic to me, tons of replay value

It started strong, I had high hopes
