I’d put it maybe behind 0, 2 & 4 personally. It’s a top 4 for me in the series for sure though.
yeah, agreed. really enjoyed my time playing it, though it did feel a bit short. didn't love the main villain, but the fight itself was great.

The Yakuza games are action adventure beat em up games with heavy role playing elements. The majority of your time in Yakuza will consist beating c***s up, talking to and dating hostesses at the hostess clubs, playing the many mini games including karaoke, table tennis, golf, f***ing pachinko, and helping townsfolk out with their very weird problems. Outside of that, you will be watching long, melodramatic cutscenes about Yakuza politics. Created by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios.
What order should I play the Yakuza games in?
Start in numerical order, beginning with Yakuza 0 on to Kiwami 1 and so forth.
What is Judgement?
Judgment is an action-adventure video game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. A spin-off to the Yakuza series

Yakuza 0 is the best in the series by a mile. And you dont have to worry about what you missed since its basically the start of it all.
Kiwami 2 is the next best

I fear this will be the case for a lot of people unfortunately.
My girl text me this morning she didn’t know how she felt about the new cast. The turn based system she can deal with the cast is her thing.
Hopefully the new cast and system wont scare people off. The mini games look top notch as usual. I got to play it a bit a while back. In Japanese though.

I’m still gonna check it out at some point. Probably when it inevitably hits Game Pass
