Yeah ran through sotenbori arena once and got to like 46 now on ichiban
Probably do it one more run and should be able to beat the boss you encounter
Just finished 5 and moving onto 6 soon, love this series so much, can't wait to try out 7 too

You’ll love 6. 7 is so fresh that you may not even have to take a break after 6 tbh

the last chunk of that game is peak yakuza wackiness
Finally got more than an hour or two at a time to play LAD and getting really into it now. have just started ch. 10, just running around doing sidestories and part time hero atm think story is coming together a bit more now too
Beat 7 the other day, think I had 60 hours total play time. Great game, enjoyable crew you got with you, only a few things they gotta hone for the next one I think. As far as the story goes, I'd say it's good, I think I'd put it top 3. I'm curious on how they build on things from here, how the party system will go, will it be the same people, will need people get introduced, etc.
Story spoilers: Masato/Ryo getting stabbed in the ribs by Kume was kinda weak. Not that he died, because dude was either dying or rotting in a cell for the next 20+ years given his crimes. It's just more like of all the damage people have eaten in this series a stab wound to the ribs?? Like stab that nigga in the heart at least, make it look like he ain't have a chance at survival. My one complaint would be with the bosses. None of the bosses really had that hype to them or build up. Like when you playing 0 for instance, it's dudes built up as being some tough dudes, and I ain't really get that in this game, they tried, but it didn't really stick imo.
Also quick gameplay thoughts
Game really needed a fast forward speed like in Persona during battles. Bosses didn't feel like a challenge exactly, it was more just a ton of health you had to deplete and maybe some cheap moves. Like in Yak 5 when you fought you know who, s*** really felt real, that s*** was classic, think story plays a part in that some too.
Just charted chapter 4 in yakuza 0. It's cool but feel like it's a little overhyped so far tbh.

Yakuza games have become very overhyped in recent years. Back in the day nobody played them and they were good little games that were overlooked. Now they have become a big thing and on many lists as best of the gen. I am not so sure I agree. Very good games, but they are budget games and recycle a lot of assets and mechanics.

crazy how the eighth budget game in a budget series is definitely better than whatever your fav game is

Fam, I have literally been shilling Yakuza on this site since 2010. I can show you the receipts.

I wouldn’t call the series overhyped. Wtf yall are explaining is it’s too popular...
They’re very good games & now that MORE people love the series it’s overhyped? I haven’t seen anyone like gassing its mechanics or presentation. Yall mad more people into the games?
Or explain your definition of overhyped? Are the games not worth the support they are getting? Lol

lmfaoooooooo i remember your T Swift avy
I wouldn't say overhyped. Its more of a cult like following. The people that have played it think its the greatest thing and the people that haven't you seem to can't convince them just to try it.
