Just charted chapter 4 in yakuza 0. It's cool but feel like it's a little overhyped so far tbh.
Confimred 4k/30 1440/60 on PS5

I was sold after that sick intro then leading into baka mitai karaoke
A lot of stories in games bore the s*** out of me these days but Yakuza's whole thing has me hooked. All the characters are great. It's heavy moments hit hard but then they'll have you do dumb s*** like a disco dance off or winning a chicken from bowling.
Just unlocked that stripper fighting mini-game too :datass:

It's goofy but in a charming way.

I'm almost done with Yakuza 0 and I've felt the same way since I started playing. Combat is entertaining but it can feel like a simple arcadey beat em up. I will admit that there were some absolutely wild WTF moments, overall the side quests were great and the main plot gets hella interesting if you can keep up with it. But I have no interest in doing the side activities especially since some of them are extremely difficult for me to get the hang of. So I'm just running around beating up guys every few seconds and doing the side quests I run into
I'd give it like a 7/10, game is Spiderman tier but its flooded with things to keep the player busy

so you’re saying you have trouble getting the hang of mini games, or what? you know there’s a bunch of different ones, they’re not all the same

I know that, if you read my post you'll see it says SOME of them are difficult for me to get the hang of. I think some are tougher than they need to be, I can't master them at all but I feel like I have the timing down. Things like karaoke, dancing and the claw machine game. I enjoy pool, but even in that the AI seems to nail some wild shots
I just agree that its overhyped by people including on KTT. Some consider it game of the generation tier and I don't think its on the level of Uncharted 4, RDR2 or even Persona 5 which I also think is overhyped
have literally only played management minigame the last few days on 7
i cant get the hang of it
i cant get the hang of it
I think they prob overcomplicated it a lil bit, at least early on. Like I found the first round the hardest but was actually kinda ez in the last cos I had a bunch of SSR employees who destroyed shareholder meetings. Like I don't even think I properly learned some mechanics either
i cant get the hang of it
you just do this and repeat
1. Assign employees with stats to meet your shop’s current requirements
2. Open shop a bunch of times
3. Keep expanding/putting money into the shop until it’s maxed out
4. Make sure your shareholder meeting employees each have a different one of the three colors that correspond with the shareholder colors, and iirc you want the number the employee has to be as low as possible (it’s the time it takes to regen energy to answer shareholder questions)
5. During the shareholder meeting, match each color employee to the shareholder question of the same color for best results
6. Buy more properties and repeat
i cant get the hang of it
i used this and swept every meeting. idk if i ever got the mechanics down properly, but it was really easy
yakuza 0 is sooo much better than kiwami 1, its unbelievable.
kiwami was so bad, it stopped me from buying kiwami 2 and the newer ones
Did you play it before 0?
@Wonderful what's been your favorite game in the series? just curious
i cant get the hang of it
Its really easy, just look up a guide for best buildings to buy each stage and you don't have worry about rare or sr/ur employees till you get the 3rd/4th slot
And put people with high charisma on the board team
I used this for buildings polygon.com/guides/21575452/yakuza-like-a-dragon-business-management-rank-employees-properties-shareholder-meetings-colors

0 by far. It is the best game and I am sure the vast majority agree.
I find like a dragon has a poor battle system. It is just boring.
