I know the Judgment games are a different story and setting but are they basically yakuza reskins or are they something completely different? Might pick them up since they released on pc.

Yakuza is the english localization name. The franchise has always been called Like A Dragon in Japan. I guess with the amount of success the series has had in the west recently they feel comfortable dropping the yakuza name and having the future of the series all under the same name.

Yeah, they're pretty different, but shares a lot of the Yakuza DNA, as you can prob imagine. You will get a much better story with the Judgment series than you would be with the Yakuza games.

I'd argue the Judgment games are the best games the studio has put out, solely for the combat and story alone.

give it 2 chapters, they’re really not that long. if you not f***ing with it by then, most of the series probably isn’t for you (I bet you’ll be enjoying it tho)
