Generation is never an excuse to have that type of opinion imo. Generations dont exist anymore in the streaming era. Its just that ppl havent really grasped onto that fact yet. Too stuck on whats current, not looking at the entirety of art

To say that fans of Carti and Travis don't like Future for example is insanity. To think they hate Drake is seriously you just not paying attention. Those artists all have a f***ton of listening crossover with Drake. Most of the ppl who listen to music don't even post about that s*** on socials honestly lmao. They're definitely not participating in any damn discourse.
Ye himself has never positioned any of these guys as less than him because of their stylistic differences. If anything he championed Wayne more than anyone not named Drake

It may be a minority but there is an extremely large group of people that put Kanye Kendrick Tyler Frank Carti and Travis on a pedestal while writing other stuff off as too mainstream or low brow. The Dissect Podcast has a huge listener base and look at the artists they dissect. You will never see a street rapper get dissected. That podcast is representative of the people that have been running “rap Twitter” since right after TLOP
