by no means is aot top 5 of all time you are bugging but its defintely better than mha
Whats your top 5
Why would you do something so horrible
AoT used to be one of my favorite anime, but if it takes out that trash ending as well as the corny side of the fanbase then id prolly do that s*** too
Seems like shonens after the big 3 seem to succeed in spite of the protagonist. Which makes sense since most of the main protagonists are just some successor to Ichigo, Luffy or Naruto
But yeah.

I agree tbh, wish anime didn’t exist
this show just moves too slow. how is it 5 seasons in and they're still in their first year? how many f***ing seasons do they expect to have?
Whats your top 5
id have to think about it cause its too hard for me to narrow it down to 5 but saying its top 5 means ur comparing it against all the goats like yu yu hakusho, cowboy bebop, ghost in the shell, etc. can you really say its on par with or better than those shows

Yeah i honestly thought it was better than YYH ( also has a mid ending, at least the anime does ) Cowboy bebop, haven’t watched ghost in the shell yet so i can’t speak on that
But yeah.
Yeah it’s all ultimately Goku right, but I think we’re slowly reaching a point where the unique traits the big 3 had are being a foundation for the unique traits the superstars now are having
Tanjiro being the crybaby, but someone who does that bc of having to abide by his sense of morals. Itadori being unwilling to kill but realizing that the game is the game. These guys, who are obviously on a different level than a Midoriya or an Asta, show signs of good, potentially franchise carrying protagonists
AoT def the GOAT shounen I’ll say that
I think it goes to how much stock you put in the ending (like the last 3 chapters)
Unsatisfactory to me but I don’t think it ruins the 8 years or so of excellence (and the 3 year stretch of god tier writing). Hard to stomach some guys development being essentially retconned or explained in a contradictory way, so I don’t fault people if that did make it drop severely on their lists
There’s way too many moments in AoT that are incredible examples of writing, not in anime but just in any field of entertainment

I don't understand why they took half the season so far for that one class 1 v 2 thing? It just didn't need to be that long

well im an anime only watcher but I think s3 p2 and s4 are the peak of shounen

I only watched 3 eps of S4 so far but I think it ends up before what I consider the peak of anime
There’s a 5 chapter stretch that’s literally the best I’ve ever read

oh, yeah I wouldn't say its peak of anime. But def peak of shounen.
But yeah, v excited about the last stretch
I've heard very polarizing things about the ending where it seems to be very hate/love, which I think is the perfect approach for a show like this to go tbh.

The part I’m talking about is my personal favorite in any anime I’ve seen, but I haven’t watched every anime obv
You’ll know what I’m talking about the second you see it

especially since it's over pretty quick in the manga
It’s definitely no One Piece or Hunter x Hunter that’s for sure
i got a lot of mfs on me bout one piece so i already know to check, but hxh really worth pickin up?

Yeah definitely.

i’ve seen around ~70 seasons of different anime, and HxH is one of 4 that i’ve given a 10/10 score. it’s definitely worth watching
