I mean supposedly this is the worst or second worst arc in all of MHA and it gets immensely better
there's been good MHA arcs btw. the overhaul one was legitimately good.
that’s not what i was saying at all. they’re just two different kinds of shows. AOT is good, but there are multiple Shonen on its level even since it started airing lol it’s not the GOAT like it’s been made out to be.
MHA hasn’t been as good as AOT so far, but with s3 and s4 it’s def on its way to being a classic Shonen
name 3 anime that have come out since that are comparable to AOT
as always please don't judge a series by the anime
always read the manga
MHA > AOT
YO CMON MAN.

They said overhaul arc was like the best in the whole series or top 2.
That turned out to be mid af
Deku vs overhaul was alright but not close to the crazy amount of episodes dedicated to it
Manga might be cool but if we're talking anime.. It's hard to even watch the shoe anymore

whoever said that s*** was capping, overhaul was some of the worst writing horikoshi has done for the entire series. the better parts of the show/manga include stain, the training camp (muscular), bakugo rescue (OfA versus AfO), ect.
gentle criminal wasnt bad either tbh. first fight deku did all on his own no help, hands down better than overhaul even if what deku did vs. overhaul was ""cooler""
Held on for as long as I could bro but 15 mins into Episode 1 of S5 and this nigga Deku decides to hold back on a knock out blow in a f***ing training session with the big 3 for no real reason other than “Hi, I’m Deku and I’m a b**** ass nigga” and we gotta keep this plot going for another 10 mins dog ssssoooooo I can’t do this no more dude 5 seasons my nigga!!!!!!! 5 seasons bruh and you still on this s***?!?!?!? Like how?!?!?!? It’s a training session bro hahahaha you still on this shy reluctant hero s***?!?!? 4 seasons into AOT and this nigga Eren is a COMPLETELY different person f*** the time skip nigga has actually developed as a character bro it’s beautiful. Everyone in the f***ing show has. Meanwhile, 5 seasons into this s*** and Deku has grown 2 inches taller and is none the f***ing wiser I’m done
The only thing AOT and BNHA have in common is that they're both published by Shounen Jump. The shows may both be ""shounen"" but they go in completely different directions.
Comparing Deku to Eren is so ??? because they're experiences are so wildly different, it's no wonder that Eren would develop when he has skipped time to become a whole ass adult and endured so much trauma along the way.
I don't think Deku is some godlike well written character or anything, he's anything but that, but pretending as if nothing has changed at all is crazy. We see his confidence develop in fights like the one with Stain, Muscular, Overhaul, and Gentle Criminal. Sure, yeah, it's some p**** s*** that he didn't punch Amajiki, but this guy is a high school first year. Again, not a grown ass man that went through trauma after trauma. Keep in mind, Deku hasn't actually lost much of anything.
Deku will likely never be on the same level as Eren simply because their motivations are so different even from the beginning, I don't even know where to begin to break this down.
YO CMON MAN.
sorry bro this s*** have been mid since the time skip
mha is on one of the best run right now

It’s not about them being the same lol I pointed him out only as an example of a character that has actually gone through some level of development over the same relative period of time. Obviously, the storylines are completely different and I have no idea how long MHA will go on for but Deku has literally not developed at all in 5 seasons lmfao like even his powers have remained relatively the same and with AOT still freshly in my mind being that it just ended as this is starting up, The difference is too glaring for me not to point out and it’s because of shows like AOT that my standards are beginning to raise a bit in terms of what I can and can’t tolerate
Like I would argue that he’s still gone through a lot of s***. Maybe not anything on the same traumatic level as an Eren of course but certainly some s*** that would change the average person in some significant way lmao I get he’s essentially a kid but Jesus
Read the manga

Deku has developed, just not in the way that you wanted/expected him to. That's all it is. And that's fine. But saying that he hasn't developed/changed at all is disingenuous.

We just have to agree to disagree on this one because I don’t see whatever it is you’re seeing in his development as a character. I’m not even asking for much on that end either. S***, even Mob developed in some capacity and that nigga was essentially autistic
Read the manga
The s*** is ass fam. Straight doogie. Matter fact I rather read my s*** than read the child-ass, fairy-tail, clown piece of wanna be literature, and I’m being ‘kind’ here. I read real eldian s*** where my yeargist pride let me scream genocide to the other side. This deku b**** is a little kid show and only 9 year olds d*** ride it fam. I’m just being honest. Catch me reading 139 where Eren pulls a Makaveli and fakes his death
This show is mid and copy of the regular shonen tropes from the gate like black clover and 7 deadly sins. People only liked it because anime was dying with no good shows out at the time. All my homies bought a volume just to piss on it.
Unfortunately I've been around so many AoT fans that I can't even tell if that was a troll post or a real post.

I just don't feed the trolls hahahaha.
Too many posters on this site just posting inflammatory takes for interactions/quotes
While I don't agree with Flymx, at least he engaged in genuine dialogue with me, which I appreciate.

That's fair, nice talking to you.
I don't really get the Mob mention either, but I understand that we just won't agree on this topic.
I hope you have a wonderful night.
I stopped watching MHA shortly after season 3 started
Might go back to it but no rush honestly

MHA fans aren’t even real anime fans, they just started liking anime as a trend and imported MHA laptop stickers to bandwagon. The real hero anime show is OPM and everyone knows that blows this s*** out the water
Shonen that are better than AOT
:
OP,SlamDunk,HxH,Gintama,CSM,E21,Bakuman,Claymore,MHA
MAGI,Saint Seiya,GTO,YYH,Crows,worse,Haikyuu,DQ.dai,Mx0
Ao ashi,Bluelock,Clover,SK
i can go on
I want smoke, I f***ing hate this lame ass show and the praise it gets and the money wasted on it which could’ve gone to actual Japanese production studios, and their under waged animators. It’s a shame shows like this and Demon Slayer get okayed for multiple seasons when it should’ve gotten axed from the first chapter. No disrespect to the Mangaka but dumb fans have made them feel alright to be mediocre when they should up their pen game, and I’m dead ass and been wanting to express this. Y’all niggas be capping acting like these rehashed panels with ugly character designs are doing it for you. The new big three is JJK,CSM, and Boruto. Those are at least interesting.
