Apologies for the double post but I definitely need to catch Kinds of Kindness or Poor Things soon.

definitely watch poor things next, then the favorite
The shot of emma looking up at him after he comes back from the hospital was so scary lol

Gonna watch poor things tomorrow
I was surprised I liked poor things but I really enjoyed it. Kind of kindness I wasn’t crazy about but had its moments. This looks really good tho. Yorgos is one weird dude but I f***s with him.
This film's premise is a perfect example of what I would call a narrative lose lose.
Engaging when you don't know what's going on. Unsatisfying when you do. Ultimately... the ending felt... inevitable.

didn’t know whether or not i wanted them to play it straight tbh

Thats when you knew the b\*\*\*\* wasn’t normal lmao. Any actual human would’ve gotten tf outtta there

I definitely would have preferred it. A. Because the sci-fi in Yorgos' last two movies has been corny and hard to buy into and B. Because the reveal pretty much nukes any point it was trying to make about conspiracy brain rot.
Thoroughly enjoyed this, first time experience with Yorgos' catalog so I was a bit scared that he was going to chicken out of the ending that I wanted him to go with.
Jesse and Emma were hooping to the core bruh, shout-out to the actor that portrayed Don also.
My only gripe with this that I think Yorgos pulled the trigger a little too early with the big climax.
How’d he pulled the trigger too early? Was there something you witnessed earlier in the film?

Did you already see the movie?

nahh I don’t think it undercuts that message at all tbh. I think two things can be true at once: getting the ridiculous / hilarious scifi ending, and Plemons character being insane because we know this is a movie and not real lol
I f***ing loved this. Emma and Yorgos are on a generational run.
sooo Stav definitely molested Jesse right
For sure
Thought this was painfully predictable and a lot of the themes are severely undercooked tbh
One of the worst Yorgos
