All these artist meant something to black kids (the south rising in hip hop, female rappers relating to the struggles of being a black women whilst ya boy was making racist songs about them ("ole foolish pride",), gang culture being documented and shown in its glory and more importantly in its destructive nature, diversity in hip hop culture with Asian and African influences, jazz/soul samples that their parents probably listened to)
hip hop isn't solely a game of numbers (he sold alot now praise him)

No, celebrity worship is a dud besides there are hip hop legends that are dead that mean more to the culture than him alive (tupac's passed decades ago but we still share his interviews during these trying times as his words still ring true)

Well history does have a nasty habit of repeating itself, and today's world still makes it easier for white artists to prosper in a genre that isn't initially their culture.
Eminem is experiencing the sentiment some people had towards Elvis, today. And that's not our fault (paul wall and other white rappers who are down with the culture and didn't shamelessly sell out are still respected till this day)

You can put him out of your top 50 if you want, but I can't see how his rap abilities can be seen as "overrated", from a technical point of view and understanding what RAPPING means, they are perfect, maybe his controversial lyrics put the attention kinda away. And you say "racist/homophobic/mysoginistic fans only" with a derogatory tone, but what is the difference between his songs or GTA or A Clockwork Orange? It's just art, it's fiction, it's not meant to be true.

Illmatic is my #2 album of all time, while my highest raked Eminem one is on top 40, no problems about that, but when comes to the public in general, Pimp C, Kurupt, Mc Lyte and even Lil Kim, has very low to no relevance, but never disrespecting their importance in music

Played cod with this british dude and everyone was gassing his freestyles and I was thinkin I bet this dude only listens to early 2000s Eminem related hip hop. Dude starts rapping and first line name drops em 50 Dre and snoop. Moral of the story European people that know nothing about rap music f***ing love the shady aftermath era

it’s not about having a few misses. it’s about how his discog contains albums so bad, you’ve gotta google who even approved of their release so you can file a complaint to their boss.
