  • i think the n word is like the b word in a way if you called a girl a b**** they have the right to react because of the words oppressive use i went to a white hs and all the kids even Asian and white used it and tbh you couldn't do anything about it this Chinese girl called me the n word that i liked and i was like but i guess that's just the way the world goes i wish it wasn't such a confusing word

If black people don’t want us saying it we shouldn’t say it

    • I grew up on Flatbush in Brooklyn, I’m still out here. I used to say it a lot when I was younger (majority of my friends are black) but as I got older and wiser I stopped saying it; s*** is whack honestly
  • Jan 6, 2020

    bad

  • Jan 6, 2020

Free speech but hey if you say it around the wrong person and they knock your lights out don’t be surprised or upset. White people gonna say it anyways when they alone though that’s for damn sure.

  • Jan 6, 2020

just dont say it lol..my fellow koreans on the gram need to relax on their stories

  • Jan 6, 2020

Stopped using it myself as I got older and more mature.

Who’s saying it and the context of it matters, but at the end of the day you don’t know how each individual is going to feel about the use of the word. It can make people uncomfortable in mixed company, so I’ve found its better to avoid it all together.

Although every now and then I’ll slip up and say it around friends.

    Saturday

yeah bro but it’s just a word haha

  • I’m black and my views on it are starting to change..I don’t think anyone should be saying that s*** anymore.

Due to popularly of rap and white peoples affinity with black culture white people are now using that s*** in common usage like they used to use “bro” plus with a lot of these new niggas being b****made they won’t check em for it. The only solution is for black people to stop saying it.

Lmfao. He said it's the same as calling a female a b****

  • Jan 6, 2020

Yeah I’m black and I hardly say that s***. My parents never really said it so I was just raised without it being in my vocabulary. Really not hard at all to say it. I be screaming that s*** in lyrics though.

Personally if you use it and not black you should be smart enough to understand the consequences that should come from using it , also it’s cringe af

You didn't have to let that girl disrespect you. You are the boss of what you will and will not accept from people. You can't stop them from calling you whatever but they can't stop you from setting boundaries.

  • If you not black don’t say it period. I hate when other races get offended when we say that.

used to be one of those annoying white kids who thought saying it wasn't racist (still didn't say it much though)
thankfully i've matured a s*** ton over the years and now i understand a lot more about the subtleties of race and s***.

i think the main things these non-black kids are ignorant to is the fact that it's not an attack on them or equating them to a hardcore racist when black people tell them not to say it, it's literally just about being a decent person. it's literally akin to manners; same way you're supposed to say sorry if you bump into someone, same way you're not supposed to run up to random people on the street and start screaming profanities at them, don't say the n word if you aren't black. and if you do, then don't be surprised if people don't react well. it's as simple as that.
