Funny how these reference tracks won't go viral because Drake actually wrote his parts for these.

Point being, just because you hear a reference track, doesn't mean that the artist didn't contribute, didn't write on it, etc. just some context for the next time a Drake reference record leaks

this Jaded thing is a very different situation than other references like 10 Bands, R.I,C.O, or Mob Ties

he sent Jaded to Ty to cut a verse, not to write anything for him

Mob Ties was a song that Drake heard in a complete state and decided to keep for his own album

10 bands and Rico seem to be more of a situation where Drake tapped in with QM for the sole purpose of helping him write songs

I love Drake's music but this is not really a good defense of Drake

No one will ever give the nuance of a reference track existing not actually proving who wrote what. I gave up on explaining that forever ago. The Internet decided a reference track is the proof of writing.

Probably should have worded it better but the point was, was that reference tracks often times are not indicative at all of an artist's writing ability and shouldn't be taken that way.
