Probably should have worded it better but the point was, was that reference tracks often times are not indicative at all of an artist's writing ability and shouldn't be taken that way.

Noel, Drake, Ty, & Hitmaka A1 & Chrishan (A1/Chrishan are Hitmaka guys). Those are the writings credits. Hitmaka just explained that they wrote on Ty's part. Hope that helps.

I’m willing to bet half of 1da’s beats have referenced to them too. Tbh I assume a majority of beats these days have references.
Way easier to get placements when you send beats with actual vocals hooks and ideas on them

Berg/Hitmaka literally said that Drake sent the song done with an open for Ty Dolla $ign. Then Hitmaka his team and Ty wrote on it. Sent it back to Drake. Drake kept Ty's backing vocals took the verse off. Also I just listened to the Jaded DRAKE TY 02.06.18 leak and Drake wrote/sang that part first.
