Additionally funnel more money to private schools who are backdooring support via lobbyists

And expect it to be framed as child care that's either cheaper or 'better' somehow

I was surprised trump never pushed it this way leading up to the election, but im certain it's coming

On the other hand I feel like you can learn most math as long as you just keep practicing and doing the same kind of problem over and over again, and just try to understand every step. Only problem is this just can take a lot of time.

teachers cannot compete with 13 second attention spans

i only say this as i have built somewhat of a mathematics tutoring empire in my state

    Empire?

I been thinking about tutoring on the side for extra income
Might as well put my good math knowledge to use lol

We are beyond Idiocracy and I wish people would realize that

That movie was about low IQ/other relevant evolutionary traits leading to a population that just wasn't very bright or smart because dumb people f*** a lot and are too dumb to use birth control

What we are seeing here is the government purposefully tanking the populations expectations of the publicly funded school system so it's easier to cut it out of the budget completely

We aren't being governed by idiots, but by people who want to give massive handouts to businesses for the money of it, not due to naivety

im past thinking the government doesn’t care about us and i think they actually just don’t like us whichever way you swing it

No offense but I don't know why people didn't come to this realization even back in the late 2000s with that crash. I was a freshman in highschool realizing the government doesn't do things to help people, but to give business space to attain unlimited increases in value

The government views humans as a tool. Or at least capitalism does. We arent ruled over for the betterment of man, but to increase stock prices

Would’ve thought that Covid timeframe f***ed these kids up

No way kids were doing as well as they would’ve in a classroom

even math teachers suck ass at explaining this

'you wont have a calc in your pocket' ass teachers

all they need to do is make kids understand math is a cusp behavior that leads to a huge amount of skills down the road, which you can only learn with math skills first

I think Covid and lockdowns just exacerbated the same problems as kids then spent even more time plugged in

The problem at least coming up was some schools had weird curriculums that weren’t the best at explaining the concepts (e.g. i can vouch, the one math class in sophomore year in hs I failed by 1 point and the highest grade in said class was an 87. And the specific math curriculum got so many complaints they switched it back to where it used to be AFTER we graduated.)

Context: you know how there would be a class on algebra, a class on geometry, a class on trigonometry, etc?

Imagine a class that just combines all that together in messy function. Reviewing not even top quality either. That was the curriculum
