Is not voting for Biden tacitly supporting Trump?

For people that voted in the primary/planned to vote in the primary and are now sitting out or spite voting, for sure

    Theory

Clinton was polling to win by 6.5 in Wisconsin and ended up losing by 0.7, so the polls were off by 7.2 points.

Michigan was off by 3.9 (3.6 Clinton lead, 0.3 Trump win).

Pennsylvania was off by 2.8 (2.1 lead to 0.7 Trump win).

Biden’s lead in the polls currently is 2.7 in Wisconsin, 4.4 in Michigan, and 3.8 in Pennsylvania.

There hasn’t been an update to the polls in a month and a lot has changed since then (Bernie dropping out, coronavirus and Trump’s approval actually increasing in the meantime).

All that to say if the polls are off by as much as they were in 2016, Biden would win back most of the rust belt but still lose Wisconsin. If that happened you would have Trump win with exactly 270 electoral college votes

Granted, there are other states he could try to win that were pretty narrow losses in 2016. Democrats have a lot more states that they almost won in 2016 than Trump does.

Polling errors were there but the big issue was that there were too few polls in the Rust Belt during 2016 – based on the now mistaken assumption that it was clearly going for Hillary.

Compare the number of polls taken in Michigan with the ones taken in Arizona (where pollsters thought Dems could pull off an upset)

They are actively helping Trump. I’m not sure what you want to call it.

You don’t get to sit around and cry about how you’re staying home because Biden is “literally worse than Trump” and then act like your hands are clean.

if you vote for biden, your hands aren't clean either. he'll be continuing the wars, drone strikes, other instances of U.S. imperialism, leaving millions without health insurance, etc.,

No if you vote for third party the name on your vote doesn’t say Trump

You have two choices. One is objectively better. There is not any scenario you can try to spin where voting for Biden is a morally worse choice.

    just saw Biden's youth ad.

omg Biden's campaign is absurdly bad. Sure, the primary campaign was awful but what they're doing now is not going to get them enough votes. There might be a chance Biden wins because of people who want Trump out but omg they are working against themselves.

    draw from what?

what's the conclusion you'd draw from this then?

that this election is irrelevant. trump is a symptom, not a problem. trump is a legacy of failed politicians like biden. you can't treat a symptom with its problem. you have to cure the problem.

2024 election is the one that matters. dems have signed up for one term with biden. they ain't ready for what will come after that

we're in the middle of a pandemic with almost 30 million jobs lost already. and biden isn't as disliked as hillary. he will win but the consequences of his victory will be huge

I remember looking at the polling demographics of the 2016 polls that were done and the demographics were way off (and I talked about this on KTT1 before Election Day). I haven’t looked at the new polls demographics yet so they may have fixed that. Also the polls probably didn’t accurately reflect the damage done by Comey reopening the case, which would obviously mess with what I was talking about in that post

I don’t think many people will blame the pandemic on Trump. His ratings haven’t gone down (in some cases gone up), and I think most people understand that jobs will be lost in an event like this. His handling of the virus has a 46% approval (Negative 2), handling of the economy (from polls taken this month) is 53% (positive 10) and his overall approval rating is is 45% (negative 2). His overall approval is at one of the highest points it’s been since election.
