Not to mention pop was top tier and rock had its last legs of mainstream success too. If anything the 10s are the decade with the least amount of timeless music. Pop dried up, rock is dead, rap is declining. Only this current decade looks on par

Peak Ye is 2010, peak Jay is 1996, peak OutKast is 96-98, Snoop was washed by the 2000s as was Cube
You got one with 50, Em, Usher, Luda, T.I., Wayne, and Jeezy. But 50 fell off by his sophomore album, Em fell off by 2004, Usher fell off by 2009, Luda fell off by 2009, T.I. fell off by 2009, Wayne was past his prime by 2009. Jeezy was still doing his thing though.

Beyonce's self-titled is her best album, Christina and Fergie were never all that, Continuum was cool but it's not holding up to the best from 2011-2016.
Back to Black, FutureSex/Love Sounds, and Loose are incredible albums but nobody was ever denying that the mid-2000s didn't have slaps. There's just more pop slaps between 2011-2016

True the 2000s probably edges out, but outside of my nostalgia, neither decade has barely any timeless albums, like maybe 15 timeless albums all together

Sure but rock in general fell off after 2000. Linkin Park are cool but they're not like an all-time great act

I lived through it lol. I remember them selling both albums in my Stop & Shop back in the day
They were big for their time but aren't like "best ever" material though. Kylie Minogue for example was washing them both during the same era, easily.
