most artists also arent trying to find a unique sound or build. they literally want whats is currently already the sound. then they cry when they get indie numbers without getting the indie benfits.
stop taking the ownest off the artist, and the labels. there are many producers with unique sounds that is still mainstream palatable. and you know what hapopens when the rare artrist finally does that? they actually made decent to good waves. dababy to polo g to teezo. which when they first came out their sound was unique (still is for teezo) that then got co-opted into the generic mainstream sound.
since 2018 most niggas and labels dont want a unique sound they want somenes elses sound that already blew up.
another reason why women rappers are also killing it. most of their beats actually have a unique flair to it regadless of what you think of their content. meanwhile dudes got lazy in not only content but also their soundscape.
This too. Why would someone spend years coming up with a unique sound only for some industry plant to bite the sound and completely hi-jack and take credit for it

Not these little white kids that’s for sure. Artists like MIKE, stove god cooks, smino & veeze are all young (enough), bring something unique to the table and are hip hop to their core. Idk any really young dudes doing anything but making the same s*** as each other (lazer dim 700 makes some fire s*** and is the best out of these kids imo)
