    Unforgivable

I can respect why he doesn't release a solo album because he has nothing significant to rap/talk about at this stage in his life

    Eminem should take this route

He's mostly annoying and overrated by his fans, but I can at least say he has talent. Even if I'm tired of listening to him after 5-7mins.

Teezo Touchdown is just pure s***e.

He has a valid point, but most artists first imitate and through those experiences they eventually find their own style and voice.

Tyler, Drake, Kendrick and Gambino clearly have done this

Unreal that we’re in a timeline where a yachty co-sign actually means a lot to these kids and could potentially get you far in the industry 😂

Respect to andre 3k, but this "hip-hop is dead" narrative and anything adjacent to that has been around since the late 90s and 2000s. Just because rap doesnt adhere to the styles of past decades doesnt mean its something to cry about. The youth will always reinvent genres in ways that older generations might not be accustomed to or will appreciate. But in another decade it'll evolve and change again and a portion of the generation that came before that will cry about that too. Sure, we're in an unprecedented age of algorithms and new forms of technology that give rise to new artists but the masses will get behind whatever they want to. Todays climate makes it so the party rapper can be just as successful as the lyrical rapper or the alternative rapper. Just choose what you want to listen to and support that, its not that hard. This gatekeepy mentality of how "hip-hop" SHOULD sound is some lame ass s***. Maybe talk about how artists should get paid more for their music and how streaming has f***ed up the music industry more than any artist that you dont agree with or like.

I think it’s less about not accepting a “new style of rap” now (back then ppl like Nas were just hating on Southern rappers like Wayne and then the phrase caught on)
now it’s more about feeling like you’ve heard 100 of the same song because copying is at an all time high
