Apparently Universal might buy Warner (rumor)

    Would be a disaster.

Lucian and his son should not have a monopoly on the music industry.

What’s up with all these modern day monopolies

Alot of these companies need to merge to survive. Tough times are on the horizon.

There's also greed and a need to expand.

When it comes to the music industry, it's to cut losses and be more efficient.

Labels like 300 and Quality Control (QC) don't have alot of staff and have seen huge success with artists.

Huge labels like Atlantic realize they don't need that many people, especially since artists don't need the labels the same way anymore.

So this is their attempt to adapt to the state of the industry.

So by merging and consolidating + firing staff, they save money and have more control. That's the idea.

That rumor is started by juliengreenwald and her ilk to sew discord in the new regime. All of 300 staff wasn't fired, some were let go and others promoted to more streamlined positions.

I hate this dude sometimes cause he knows s*** but be talking out his ass a lot of times out of pure entertainment. This is basic restructuring and streamlining AMG to save money cause atlantic execs been bleeding them dry lol. As of today any artist worth their ass just got new budgets for the first time in a year. Atlantic needed to be gutted.
