Doctor strange and everything everywhere all at once have a lot of similarities. The latter is the better movie.

I’d rather have A24 than the MCU. This decade will mark the start of the decline of the MCU.

Its a film studio. So is Marvel Studios.

    /END

Yes they share that. Marvel studios is actively involved in all creative decisions for Marvel movies. A24 isn’t involved in all creative decisions for a24 movies, moreover there are a bunch of their movies that were shown 85-98% finished at film festivals. Then, A24 buys said films to market/distribute them without being involved in pre prod or prod unlike marvel movies that have Kevin Feige as a throughline

The idea that someone would bash the weird indie movie to prop up a Marvel movie that’s gonna make billions of dollars is disgusting to me tbh.

yeah og tweet what was even the point ffs

Everything Everywhere is produced by the Russo Brothers and I wouldn't be surprised if the Daniels work on a Marvel movie soon

Me neither. Ironically some of the practical action sequences/locations looked better without the hundreds of feet of green screen that Dr. Strange had

daniels were asked for Loki lol but said no

“There were meetings with Marvel about ‘Loki’ that we didn’t even take. We were trying to make our own multiverse movie,”
Kwan interjected. “No, the meeting was set, and we went, but by the time we went we said we probably weren’t going to do it,” he said. “We were trying to shoot our own movie at the same time.”

Marvel's given me plenty of that. But hey man different preferences

  • Jerry Seinfeld

Just last week I saw a group in Marvel character cosplay beating a man for wearing A24 related merch, so @op might be on to something here.

When you go down the list of things it potentially deserves Oscars for, it’s essentially everything. If it doesn’t get nominated for Best Film, the SHRED of respect I have for them will completely evaporate.

I 100% agree with this. If it gets looked at as a quirky little 1-off film I'm going to be pissed

So a bunch of other (because I am one as well) terminally online f***boys are going around trying to dunk on Everything Everywhere All At Once due to Dr. Strange having a big opening.

    https://twitter.com/ERCboxoffice/status/1522596623246782464https://twitter.com/ERCboxoffice/status/1522659853356863488https://twitter.com/dunkwun/status/1522730992540151811https://twitter.com/102432Randy/status/1522894538263732224

There is tons of activity on this beef, this was just a quick search. The algorithm was feeding me a bunch I didn't engage with so I can't find now. As you can see above one of the Everything stars took a humorous approach. But no so much by another Everything star...

    https://twitter.com/AdiosPerraa/status/1522810529349259265https://twitter.com/cryptidtwt/status/1522636522398310402

So my question to you KTT2 is, if one of these studios were to disappear into thin air (no not a Thanos snap ) Which one would you rather keep? A24 or the MCU? I'm not talking about financial openings. I'm talking about their catalog as it stands today. I am talking about cinema longevity. Which of these studios pumps out films that you can replay 2 years later and get blown away?

I mean I ain't hating on either but isn't one more General Audience focused?

I’m not yall. How could something decline before its peak (Thanos movies)? Two of my favorite MCU movies are Civil War and Black Panther. So that line of thinking never entered my mind.
