What typa crack yall smoke these days
The fact that itâs a two parter I think gives more of a reason to be confident that it can live up to this one.
Everyone who worked on Across worked on Beyond and it was conceived as a two parter, so there should be a consistency quality.
Which pretty much solidifies this as the greatest CBM trilogy and the best animated film trilogy alongside the first 3 Toy Stories.
Yeah Nolan Batman trilogy fell off a cliff with Dark Knight Rises and Spiderman 3 was a mess so unless Beyond is worse than a 7/10 I can't imagine Spiderverse not being the best CBM trilogy.
Personally I would put the Guardians trilogy up there too
I donât know why people feel like the villain gotta be vanquished at the end of every movie. Where else could it have ended? Doesnât it feel like an actual comic book to leave you on a cliffhanger? I canât say I really understand where the complaint about the ending is coming from.

People are used to bloated 3+ hour long movies with tidy endings and have forgotten that superhero stories have been serialized from the start. The fact that this movie was deliberately designed to look and feel like a comic book makes a cliffhanger all the more resonant.

It coulda been shorter too if they wanted it but it felt like itâs own film and thatâs how you perfect it
So many people were shocked my the TBC and booed at the end... I'm like its been known for years!
If miles was a mistake, he wasnât meant to be bitten, the spider was from another dimension
How come itâs canon that his dad needs to die?
Also when they showed all the spider peoples deaths in a long row, the last one was miles over Aaronâs dead body. I thought that was a clear indication that Aaron was his death canon motivator thing
But he also needs to lose his dad?
I also donât really know if it works that every other Spider-Man wouldnât be on Milesâ side. The âwe have to tryâŚthere must be a wayâ desperate NEED to do the right thing is Spider-Man 101 so idk if hundreds of other Spider-Man trying to stop him works.
Maybe an outcast group of jaded, mean Spider-Man with especially rough universes⌠but hundreds were trying to stop him
??
Like I swear spectacular Spider-Man and insomniac Spider-Man would NOT chase miles and try to stop him
But itâs film of the life and who cares
nah
this s*** reminding me of one more day (itâll end way better thankfully)
as a superhero and Spider-Man all the peters and spidermen understand the stakes and risks the job comes with
and all of them have to lose someone
so itâs basically lose someone close to you (one person) or save that person but risk the lives of many
so be selfish or selfless
in this movie itâs canon that miles dad to die and itâs inescapable and inevitable
and as natural as it is for miles try to change the course of history and prevent that itâs unfair to literally all the others that have lost someone
f***ing thank you. tired of people sucking this movie's story d*** off
lmfaooo hating ass god damn
In the first scene in Gwenâs room with her and her dad, she was colored blue cause she was so sad and distraught. But when she hugged her dad, she became her normal colors. Then, then they let go of each other, she went back to blue.
Was such a simple, nice detail
Isnât every superhero movie pro cop? Even Batman working with the feds
i mean yes at some point they involve cops but inherently the concept of the super hero critiques the effectiveness of law enforcement. either you go "not fascist enough" or you go "police are inherently a menace" like the greatest superhero movie of all time, robocop
spidergwen world very influenced by pulp cover paintings/sean philips' work but very explicity also 2049. they're kinda really insistent on overexplaining their influences

Great points honestly. Fun sequence but I didnât believe the other Spider-Men would be down with chasing Miles
The Spot is an incredible villain.
Cartoony, funny, but he doesnât really go full Doofenschmertz, he still has an edge, he can go existentially dark, and heâs cool.
Love him.
Love that the bagel is part of his backstory lol.
I thought of it earlier, and I'm like the spot is what a real life villain could potentially be, and what typically evil humans are depicted as. They have a funny side, but are ultimately bound by their goals which are evil/revenge-filled. V interesting
SM2 hasnât been the best since 2018 yâall gotta let this go lmao
S*** was never even the best that's the craziest part too

I donât get the need for two canon events neither. And yeah, itâs would make more sense for Peter atleast to try and find out a more rational way to solve things.
Like, are all these hundreds of Spider-Men all going off of Miguelâs experience only? I donât buy it

So youâre agreeing with me that the best comic book movie of all time is still Howard the Duck?
