Do you think theyād be able to pull off The Spot in a live action movie?
Earth-42 is the universe without Spider-Man right? So I'm assuming the reason why the universe doesn't have a Spider-Man is because the spider that was meant to bite that universe's Peter or Miles was sent to Earth-1610.
I guess because there's no Spider-Man in Earth-42, that caused NY to be rampant with crime and other s***. Since that Miles never became Spider-Man either, that would allow Uncle Aaron to still be alive and therefore influence Miles more, since his dad is dead, so he would become that universe's Prowler.
I'm bouta see the movie again in about three hours, so I'm going into it with that thinking until I can piece things together correctly. Miguel would frequently call the Miles of Earth-1610 an anomaly. Maybe what he meant was that particular Miles was never supposed to become Spider-Man because the spider that bit him wasn't meant for him, and was only there due to a universe hopping event.
Feel like I'm close to piecing that together, probably minor details mixed up, but that's what the second watch is for
So youāre agreeing with me that the best comic book movie of all time is still Howard the Duck?
Them duck tiddies were hitting
Do you think theyād be able to pull off The Spot in a live action movie?
I feel like a director like Raimi could have real fun with him. All depends on the director & Iād love to see the Spot used on a smaller scale too
If miles was a mistake, he wasnāt meant to be bitten, the spider was from another dimension
How come itās canon that his dad needs to die?
Also when they showed all the spider peoples deaths in a long row, the last one was miles over Aaronās dead body. I thought that was a clear indication that Aaron was his death canon motivator thing
But he also needs to lose his dad?
I also donāt really know if it works that every other Spider-Man wouldnāt be on Milesā side. The āwe have to tryā¦there must be a wayā desperate NEED to do the right thing is Spider-Man 101 so idk if hundreds of other Spider-Man trying to stop him works.
Maybe an outcast group of jaded, mean Spider-Man with especially rough universes⦠but hundreds were trying to stop him
??
Like I swear spectacular Spider-Man and insomniac Spider-Man would NOT chase miles and try to stop him
But itās film of the life and who cares
Insomniac Spider Man did choose saving the city over saving May

Iām sorry bro but all this was explained pretty clearly in the actual movie
I mean you are right tho
My theory is that Prowler Miles isnāt evil at all & is more of the vigilante/anti hero of his universe since thereās no Spider-Man to protect them so he took that role upon himself
Heās like ā The Batmanā of his universe
Aron talked about doing a robbery with him to Miles so if Iām correct then his morals must be a lot more grey than the traditional hero but would make sense given the world he lives in

It's like the council of Rick's.

Daggone niggas can't discuss plot details in the spoiler thread anymore apparently

lol itās not that, Iām truly not even coming at you
Iām just surprised you didnāt catch all that in the movie
Miguel was explaining it to the T to Miles
Hot damn. Easily the most people Iāve seen in the theater in years. Disney struck gold

Really it's me piecing s*** together because in my first watch I went to the bathroom during and it was around the time Miles got warped to Earth-42.
The thing I'm confused about is if the Earth-42 spider got warped to another universe, why didn't Earth-42 get destroyed? It's been a year and some change since that canon event was altered in that universe. And we saw Miles glitching out close to deletion when he was in Spider-Society for less than a day.
Just feel like spider not being present in a universe would be the kinda event to automatically delete that universe outright. Not simply create a universe without Spider-Man.

Disney wishes they had Spider-Verse

They got those Spider-Verse merchandising rights tho
I feel like we need to see the SM2 game play out to answer this truthfully but I feel like the answer as of now is Spider Verse Miles
i mean yes at some point they involve cops but inherently the concept of the super hero critiques the effectiveness of law enforcement. either you go "not fascist enough" or you go "police are inherently a menace" like the greatest superhero movie of all time, robocop
agree
As a lifelong fan of Spider-Man, Kingpin killing him felt hard to watch in the first one and even in the recap they showed in this one.
I love how Hobey said ābuild your own watchā when thatās what he was literally doing in the scene
, Miles just wasnāt paying attention to him
I think itās interesting that thereās no other versions of Miles in Spider Society. Really sends home the point that heās an anomaly
And no insomniac spider man does not negate this premise because heās an Easter egg lol
