AI not even being profitable on a large scale is the funniest s*** about this entire era

Being profitable doesn't mean much at all sadly. Anthropic has gone from $7b yearly revenue to $30b in just 8 months. That's all that matters.

You'd be wrong. I know someone making $10k a month off AI slop

yeah people made bank off the mortgage crisis and NFTs too, eventually the money tree ends. individual experiences are irrelevant

It's literally just a meme. And just like all memes it has a short shelf life, It hasn't progressed at all in a way that ensures real longevity and use.

it's only novelty, musically, till this day is "oo it sounds identical to the artist it's copying!" It's been like 5 years lmfao.

Tech bros are so devoid of creativity, no one has even attempted to figure out how to actually use it to innovate, Because they can't. Because they arent creative. I was honestly leaving room for someone to do so. But they just use it to take the process away. Which is boring. but tech bros really think it's cool cause they are lazy as f***

they literally can't build the infrastructure cus they don't have the supply chain for it, they're not throwing infinite money at s*** that's not even profitable running at full capacity in a finished center, so they definitely won't if they can't even get the infrastructure up for like 4/5 years.

Yeah and if you read what OpenAI were trying to actually do, their plans were absolutely f***ing insane and arguably more difficult than putting humans on Mars lol. They did this to lie to investors, to get them to invest more

yes that's what i'm saying, the entire industry as it is rn is a ponzi scheme that's collapsing in on itself. AI will have utility in different uses for awhile but the whole "our life will be AI everything here's a trillion dollars build 10 data centers" s*** is ending

Doesn't matter, it's too big to fail at this point. If it does fail, there'd be a financial crisis far bigger than anything ever before. As if anyone's gonna let that happen.

    Comparing AI to NFTs

they're both bubbles that burst with a massive marketing push to establish ubiquity lol AI is going the same direction, already getting phased out of companies that 1/2 years ago restructured profitability around AI similar to NFTs

  • zenirama

I’ve been hearing “the ai bubble is bursting” for months now and it just continues to become more prevalent in society

that's cool just keep it out of art

They been trying daily for years and they have no good ideas that stick. And AI itself is losing money rapidly.

And the funny thing is why do we think this s*** is a new technology Jai Paul did the best version of AI music in 2018 and no one has topped it since or even built off of it.

Ai is for the back end. Not for anything cool. But its been that way since way before the d*** riding of it

that's literally what's happening though man that's what i'm saying lmao. this is the exact mentality that allowed the 2007 recession to happen and be so devastating, this can't happen it's too tied to american infrastructure etc until it had nowhere to go but down

  • A bubble bursting doesn’t mean the technology isn’t important or its use will go away- nor does it mean it won’t deliver on some of its productivity promises.

But it also doesn’t mean that this process will take place in a year or 5 years, or the amount of jobs and capital that will be destroyed and reorganized (layoffs, mergers) in the process

Capital will be consolidated and the world will go on. The internet bubble popped and many sites failed but the tech giants of today emerged from it and it obviously has improved many aspects of our lives

no one said that but the AI industry bubble as it is is bursting, denying that is borderline delusion
