AI will Work on video games

It could help in Movies with CGI etc

It'll never touch music unless artists use it for sampling or some tinkering that nobody will clock

There's something in the human soul that connects to another soul's creation and art ,

its like if u have s***with an artificial woman that feels better than a real woman "Scientifically" , you still wouldn't like it the same unless you're an absolute psycho

While there isn’t a uniform answer on AI, the criticisms most communist have is over ownership and if the benefits are being largely distributed socially or privately-

Also combating extreme doom and gloom or utopia scenarios in both direction that stem from commodity fetishism and a poor understanding of capital relations (like for instance the common myth that AI could potentially replace even a majority of jobs and that itself will lead to immoderation)

    I think it’s a common trope/misunderstanding that Marx or marxists were anti-technology

The Democrats are a capitalist party so they will never advocate for that message

I think for a lot of Marxists and Marxists parties, the messaging isn’t necessarily the issue as most Marxists understand the usefulness of AI and its limits- but it’s the fact that the conversation isn’t necessarily removed from the larger one already of ownership between proletariat and bourgeoisie

Most of the new ai anxiety now over like AI art and music isn’t necessarily a tangible concern for most working class people who have jobs far removed from the stock market, actually producing commodities, or actually utilizing a service where AI can fully take over

I think for a lot of Marxist they see most of the most flagrant and hysterical AI fears coming from sects of the labor aristocracy versus anyone closer to actually being what we would consider “working class”

I meant touch music as in get Listeners acceptance of artists use of it , of course Spotify would enslave all artists if it could

Yeah rideshare services subsidize most of their costs to the employee and consumer, a fundamentally different business model than AI.

They also have some of the most exploitative legal “gig” jobs one can have, relying often on illegal workers or the most destitute of the population.

You can’t even compare it to Ai

And the point isn’t that no productivity will come from it, or that some profits will be made, it’s the fact that between that hypothetical end goal that capitalists and other AI shills talk about, is the massive displacement of jobs as people are laid off, the dissolution of failed businesses which in turn lead to more lay offs, decrease investments, etc- and that’s not even getting into the other areas of the stock market and economy that most of the big investors are also tied up in

so you're admitting that they WILL become profitable, but it just means the world will change a lot, right?

its the most obvious thing ever

I think you have a very narrow and misguided view of AI and the economy writ large if your concern is if it’s “profitable” within some expected timeline, that’s what I think

  • It's never going to work for artists. For producers? 100%. It's already running super rampant right now.
